We really can’t stress this enough: a well-inflated ball is the key to (or at least a key part of) a great game! Make sure you follow the instructions and inflate your ball properly.Did you know that a beach volleyball should be less inflated than an indoor volleyball? 0.18 to 0.22 bars for a beach volleyball, and 0.3 bars for an indoor volleyball. 
If you don’t have a pump with a pressure gauge, just touch it: it should be very soft and flexible to the touch.

This model is designed with a reinforced bladder to limit punctures and deformations. Our beach volleyball has been lab tested. The ball withstands 5,000 shots on a cement plate at a speed of 50 km/h and does not warp.

This hybrid ball was created after observing soccer players in action.
This ball's hybrid design combines the comfort of a machine-stitched ball with the durability of a hand-sewn one (the seams are on the inside).We've also used a special bladder (2 km [1 mi] of thread is wrapped around it) to ensure lasting inflation and better sphericity.

We have developed a tool that allows us to measure the our balls' durability.
We identify and evaluate all possible defects through a series of practical lab tests.
We use these tests to compare our soccer balls' overall durability with that of others available on the market.Our aim is to offer the most durable products on the market.

This ball complies with official FIFA standards and weighs between 410 g and 450 g [14 1/2 and 16 oz.] (size 5).

How big is it? What’s the circumference?

Here’s how we test sphericity:
Average measured variation: 1.8% max (FIFA Basic standard).
We measure the ball’s sphericity at 4,500 different points and then examine any differences. 
If the discrepancy is greater than 1.8% (FIFA Basic standard), our engineers work on improving the sphericity to ensure a consistent bounce.

A round ball?

Here’s how we test pressure loss: We inflate the ball to the recommended pressure (11.6 psi).
The ball cannot lose more than 15% of its pressure over 72 hours, meaning a maximum pressure loss of 1.5 psi (FIFA Basic standard). The pressure after 72 hours must be approximately 10.1 psi.
This also means that it’s quite normal for a ball to lose pressure after a few days.

Here’s how we test water absorption:
To simulate rainy playing conditions in a lab, we put the ball in 2 cm (1") of water on a pivoting support and subject it to 250 compressions.
At the end of testing, the ball must have absorbed no more than 15% of its weight (FIFA Basic certification).

We’ve also tested how much water the ball absorbs.

Here’s the bounce test: 
The ball is dropped onto a steel plate 10 times from a height of 2 metres (2 yd).
 The bounce height must be between 125 cm and 155 cm (49" and 61"), with a maximum difference of 10 cm (4") between its highest and lowest bounce.

It’s all about the bounce

The most rigorous test we put this ball through is the shooting machine test.
The ball must resist 2,500 shoots against a concrete slope at 50 km/h (30 mi/h) at a distance of 2.5 m (3 yd).
At the end of the test, we check:
- The ball’s general condition: Stitching must remain intact
- Circumference: Must not have varied by more than 1.5 cm (3/5").
- Sphericity: Must not have varied by more than 1.8%
Pressure: Pressure loss must not exceed 12.5%

How big is the SB 100 Basketball Hoop Set?

When you mount your basketball hoop to the wall, the height cannot be adjusted and the board is flush against the wall.
A wall attachment is great for family fun because it adjusts to all player ages and skill levels. 
The SB 100, SB 300 and SB 700 basketball backboards are compatible with the 500 wall attachment (8496982) that offers 3 playing heights.

Why use a special Tarmak wall mount for your basketball backboard?

The hardware required to mount your basketball hoop set will depend on the wall where you plan to hang it. If unsure, ask your local hardware store for advice.
If you want your hoop to be at regulation height, the rim should be at 3.05 m (10').
We also recommend that you never hang from the rim to prevent weakening the mounting system.

How do you fix a basketball backboard to the wall?

The ball size depends on the player's age and gender.
Toddlers: size 1 to 3.
Kids under 10: size 5.
Girls aged 10 and up, women, and boys aged 10 to 12: size 6.
Boys over 12 and men: size 7

For durability, choose a rubber ball. If you want a ball with a good feel, leather or synthetic are the right materials.

Our basketball design team works in an immersive sports environment at our R&D sports centre in France. Its ongoing mission is to give basketball players the utmost comfort while playing. If you want a very durable ball, go for a rubber ball. If you want a ball with a good feel, leather or synthetic are what you need.

A basketball that is overinflated or underinflated doesn't give you the best game experience.
The recommended pressure is clearly marked on the ball by the manufacturer. 
Ideally, you should use a pump with a pressure gauge so that you can be more precise.
At Tarmak, we recommend a pressure of 9 psi.

How much should you inflate your basketball?

The official height of a basketball basket is 3.05 m (rim height).
If you want a basketball basket for your child, you need something that will grow with them. 
For younger kids, there isn't an official height, so you can choose whatever suits them best.
Up to the age of 10, club baskets are set at 2.60 m. 
After the age of 10, both girls and boys play with 3.05 m baskets

What ball size should you choose? 

Inflating the ball correctly is essential if you want to have fun and practise efficiently. The optimum pressure is indicated next to the valve. 
If you don't have a pressure gauge, drop the ball from shoulder height and it should bounce back to waist level.

What pressure should you inflate your ball to?

Bounce depends on ball pressure. Adapt to your game.

Our product designers, themselves soccer players players, designed the Sunny 300 mini ball for kids starting to dribble, shoot, or juggle with their hands or feet.

We used a thick layer of PVC on this ball for durability. Since this material is also very flexible, it can be punctured by thorns or pointy branches. Using this product in the garden may cause punctures.
