This is the first Wedze ski boot for kids with adjustable sizing. We looked for the best compromise between foot support and comfort so that young skiers can concentrate fully on learning to ski.

A word from the product manager

1/ Put the boot on the child. 
2/ Inflate the adjustment system by pressing the plus (+) button 20 times. 
3 / Lock the bottom buckle halfway (second or third buckle), then tighten the top buckle as much as is needed. 
4/ Ask your child how it feels: if they say it’s comfortable, then they’re ready to ski. If it feels too tight, you can loosen it by pressing briefly on the minus (-) button. You can repeat the process 3 times.

How do you adjust the Pumzi boots?

The 2 buckles and 4 positions make adjustments accurate and quick. The inflatable system offers good foot support in the boot. Inflate the liner before closing the buckles to obtain the best possible support.

Opening/closing mechanism

To provide an indication of rigidity, brands assign a flex rating to every boot. This rating indicates the rigidity of the boot: the higher the figure, the stiffer the shell. A flex of 40 is considered ideal for supporting children’s progress.

What is flex?

To put boots on more easily, pull the tongue toward the exterior (not straight in front of you), so you open the shells as much as possible and make putting your foot in easier.

Tip for putting boots on

The ski boot size is stated in Mondopoint size. It’s actually the length of the foot in cm. 
Wedge your heels along a wall, slide a sheet of paper underneath, flex, and measure the longest foot.
For example, if your foot measures 27.2 cm, you should choose size 27/27.5.
A size 27 boot is exactly the same as a 27.5.

What’s your child’s shoe size?

Once your foot is in the boot, fasten the buckles to the midpoint. If the buckles can be fastened further, this means that the boot size is not right for them. Once the boot is fastened, lean forward so that the heel moves to the back of the boot. Standing upright, their toes should be able to brush the front of the shell. When they flex, their foot should move backward so they can no longer feel the front. Tip: Remove the liner from the shell and put the kid’s foot in to check it.
