Buckle fractures are some of the most frequent snowboarding injuries in children. Although you recover fairly quickly, it’s still a fracture. To significantly reduce this risk, this mitten was designed and tested according to a protocol resulting from the EN 14120 standard, focusing on 3 important points in particular:
- cushioning at the palm
- limited wrist extension angle
- great support on the hand and wrist with the mitten/wrist guard combination.

Wrist protection

There are three reasons for this:
- The foam in the palm of the hand and the wrist reinforcement plate will be correctly positioned
- You can’t lose or forget the wrist guard This is important for kids and adults.
and therefore very reassuring: if your child is wearing their mittens, they will be protected.

Why is the wrist guard not removable?

The sleeve of the jacket goes over the mittens.
It is long to protect the wrist and narrow so that the sleeve fits easily over it.

Over or under the jacket sleeve?

There’s an elastic wrist strap so you remove the gloves on ski lifts without losing them.

How can I avoid losing my mittens on the ski lift?

The water-repellent treatment applied to the outer surface makes water run off the fabric without seeping in. The fabric does not soak up water and stays light and warm. This treatment must be renewed during the life of the product, after 2 or 3 washes on average, with products from our stores.
