The effectiveness of this jacket’s visibility has been certified by an external Finnish laboratory according to the strict EN17353 standard. The neon yellow colour guarantees excellent visibility during the day, while the extremely powerful reflective patches provide visibility at night. The standard also requires visibility from 360 degrees. You’ll be visible to all road users in all conditions.

A fabric’s waterproofing is determined by measuring its resistance to pressure exerted by a water column, measured in mm (based on the ISO 811 standard). The higher the pressure, the more waterproof the fabric. These are the waterproof characteristics of the RC120 jacket: 3,000 mm (120") before washing, 2,000 mm (80") after 5 washes.

Fabric waterproofing

To determine a fabric’s breathability, we test its evaporative resistance or RET (based on the ISO 11092 standard). The lower its resistance, the more perspiration escapes and the more breathable it is. 
•	RET < 6: extremely breathable, suitable for intense workouts
•	RET 6 to 12: breathable, designed for moderate exercise
•	RET 12 to 20: moderately breathable, unsuitable for exercise

The RC 120 Rain Jacket is made from coated fabric.

The coating is applied to the fabric’s interior to make it waterproof. It costs less than a waterproof membrane and requires a protective lining.

A membrane is a type of fine micro-perforated film (polyurethane), which makes the fabric waterproof and breathable. It is also very flexible, lighter, more durable, and more breathable than coated fabric.

The reflective elements have been carefully positioned to account for the constraints of cycling so that they guarantee 360° visibility at 50 m at night when car headlights are shining on them.

During intense rides, perspiration on your hands can make them feel cold. We therefore recommend exercising at a moderate intensity in cold weather.
