I cannot comment on waterproofness as I haven't had that accident yet but it looks like it certainly will be with the ziplock+rollup velcro. I have a big phone and this pouch is roomy even for it..I use it to take only my fishing license, phone and a few dollars in notes wi
th me fishing.. put the phone in upside down.. Hang out around your neck and if you need to do anything just lift it up and operate through the pouch.
