This cap has been designed to fit your child’s head. The adjustment system is easy to use for a head circumference of 52 to 56 cm (20.4 to 22”).

For what size has it been designed?

Weighing only 68 g (2.4 oz), it’s so lightweight, your child will forget they’re even wearing it. They’ll only want one thing: to keep it on their head all day to stay protected from the sun!

What does the UV protection do?  
It protects your eyes from UV rays.
UV radiation is present in winter and summer, in sunny and cloudy weather, and can be harmful to your eyes and eye contours.
The lenses are made of polycarbonate mixed with UV protection against the harmful rays of the sun (UVA and UVB).

Tinted lens classification based on ISO 12312-1 standard: 
- Category 1: lens with a light tint for reduced sunlight. 
- Category 2: lens with a medium tint for average sunlight. 
- Category 3: dark lens for strong sunlight (sea and mountains). Between 82% and 92% visible light absorbed.
- Category 4: very dark lens, for exceptional sunlight (high mountains). Between 92% and 97% visible light absorbed.

Glare

Our lenses are made of polycarbonate, which is resistant to impacts but scratches easily.
The UV protection does not decrease if your lenses get scratched; the mirror effect is purely for aesthetic purposes.
The same goes for the colour of our tinted lenses.

To be certified, the shoes must pass lab tests to assess their grip (0.6 for this model) on various surfaces (smooth, rugged, dry, wet). 
The tests are then validated by a panel of testers who evaluate the quality of our soles out in the mountains across 500 km (311 miles).

Sole grip

For hiking, it’s best to go one size up from your child’s usual shoe size. This will ensure optimal comfort on the way down and prevent their toes from hitting the end the shoe. Tip: keep toenails short and, before any descent, check that the straps and/or laces are properly fastened to prevent the foot from slipping forward in the shoe.

Which size should you choose?

Allow children to try on both shoes, standing up, with the socks they will be wearing while hiking. 
Check two comfort points: the base of the heel and the front part of the foot while going down. Avoid all pressure points when trying shoes on. Gradually break in your shoes during your first few trips.

What gear do you need for sledding?

The Trilugik range was designed for the whole family. This seat can be easily clipped onto the adult and kid sleds to transform them into a baby sled with a seat. The sleds can also be fitted together for easy transportation and storage.

What is the Trilugik system?

This sled is repairable. As part of a sustainability approach, the brakes, handle, harness and Trilugik strap can be obtained as spare parts on the Decathlon website.

What should I do if the brakes, handle, harness, or strap breaks?

For a child aged 1 to 3 years old, clip the Trilugik seat to a Trilugik kid or adult sled to create a sled with a seat. The junior sled is perfect for children under 50 kg (110 lb) to go sledding. The Trilugik adult sled has a capacity of 100 kg (220 lb) and can support one adult or two kids.

The water shoes 120 are designed for snorkelling and aquatic touring. They let you comfortably observe the seabed, regardless of whether there are pebbles, sand, rocks or stones underfoot. 
They can also be suitable for other aquatic practices: kayaking, stand-up paddle boarding.

Our 120 water shoes are safe to wear while walking on rocks. Watch out for slippery, algae-covered rocks, however, where the grip may be reduced.

Goggles can fog up for several factors: a difference in temperature between the body and the water, humidity levels, etc. Wear due to friction is one of the main causes.

If your goggles fog up, dip your lenses in the water and a protective film will reform.
It is normal for the performance of the anti-fog coating to drop over time.

We provide a special marker to reactivate the anti-fog treatment and help your goggles last longer.

Reduce fogging

The goggles’ watertightness depends on how well they fit the shape of your face. Before purchasing, we recommend doing a suction test without the elastic strap. 
If the goggles stay on your face with only slight suction, they will be watertight during your swim. This also enables you to spot any areas of discomfort or annoyance when the model is on the face.

This model comes in two sizes, for narrow or rounder faces.

Goggles that are too tight can cause discomfort, leave marks, and let water seep in.

You don’t need to press against the lenses with your hands. A light suction effect is all you should need to keep water out.

Adjusting the fit

Care advice: 
- Rinse your goggles as needed by dipping them in the water
- Keep water jets away from the inside surface of the lenses
