Storage

Happy Yak is a Quebec company based in Cowansville in the Eastern Townships. 
The company specializes in making dishes for outdoor enthusiasts using a process called freeze-drying, which involves removing the water from the frozen product by sublimation. This process means that food can be kept at room temperature for several years.

Local product

In a saucepan, combine the cold water and the contents of the package and mix well. Bring to a boil while stirring. Simmer over a low heat for 1–2 minutes. Cover then remove from the heat. Leave to rest for 12–15 min.

Stove preparation (best)

Pasta, Neapolitan sauce [tomato powder, texturised soy protein, dehydrated vegetables (tomato, onion), skimmed milk powder, Parmesan cheese, corn maltodextrin, glucose solids, modified corn starch, hydrolysed corn protein, salt, sugar, potato starch, caramel, yeast extract, onion powder, garlic powder, spices, dried herbs, corn fibre, citric acid, artificial flavour]. Contains: wheat, milk, soy.

Ingredients

Add the boiling water, mix well and seal the package. Let stand for 15–18 minutes, stirring once or twice.
