Linen, a natural, hypoallergenic, and antibacterial fabric, was selected for these capri pants, as linen has excellent technical properties. This resistant fibre provides freshness in summer and warmth in winter.
The main material of the capri pants contains 38% linen.

Why choose linen?

On each side of the pants, above the knees, you’ll find 2 small drawstrings hidden in the gusset. 
By pulling these little drawstrings, you can shorten the pants while creating elegant little gathers on the sides. 
Don’t forget to tuck the drawstrings into their elastic pocket inside the gussets, so that they stay in place.

Adjust the capri pants to your height

The main fabric of the capri pants contains 3% elastane. This will give you great ease of movement and also means that the fabric will relax, a bit like jeans. Feel free to choose pants that fit quite close to your body: they’ll adapt to your body as you move.

- a lightweight, breathable fabric (150 g/m²) on the rest of the pants.

Dual-component structure

These pants have water-repellent zones (lower front of the leg and the seat) that prevent water from seeping through. This product is water-repellent, not waterproof.
The water-repellent areas slow down the rate at which water and moisture is absorbed, but they will not keep you dry in steady rain. To restore the water-repellent property, tumble dry on low heat for 10 minutes. Alternatively, we recommend you wear waterproof rain pants (product number 8504646).

What length are the MH 500 hiking shorts?

Several criteria measure the fabric’s ability to wick away perspiration and dry quickly: absorption capacity of the fabric, fabric’s capacity not to saturate with perspiration, drying speed, etc. Level 1/5 is suitable for low-intensity activities that don’t generate much sweat. All our hiking shorts have a performance rating of 3/5.

How to quickly convert the shorts back to pants

The water-repellent property slows down water penetration and prevents the pants from getting wet too fast. It won’t keep you dry under constant rain. To stay dry, you need to wear rain pants (ref. number 8504646). Water-repellent properties can be reactivated by putting the pants in the dryer for 10 minutes on low.
