For the foam, we partnered up with Arkema, a French chemical company with experience in the running world. This alliance gave rise to VFoam in Pebax ®, 20% more dynamic than conventional shoes. The Arkema Pebax® foam combined with the geometry of the sole offer extremely responsive cushioning.

Ultra-responsive cushioning

The heel's geometry is inspired by the "doughnut" and enables optimal deformation of the material for maximum energy return with every stride. The sole allows us to exploit every quality of the shoe: forefoot geometry that maximizes the responsiveness of the Pebax® foam and heel geometry with an intuitive shape exactly where we really need cushioning.

Sole designed for maximum energy

Research and development have shown that lighter shoes improve running performance by reducing energy expenditure.
We designed the KD 900 using lighter components and an optimized sole design, ensuring that we made no compromise in terms of comfort or resistance.
The result? A weight of 218 g (7 1/2 oz.) in size 8.

Our sole is designed like a car tire—for running performance without losing control in wet conditions.
The sole geometry combined with a new rubber component give the Kiprun KD 900 excellent grip on wet terrain and bends, even at top speed.

Caroline (product manager), Stéphane (product engineer), and Nicolas (designer), are all running enthusiasts and develop your Kiprun footwear with a network of ambassadors:runners at Decathlon, sports coaches, and you! We choose the components, create the prototypes, and test and validate products through lab and field tests.
