Used to remove, shorten, or repair chain links safely. Place the link to be opened in the recess on the tool. Once the chain tool screw is aligned with the rivet, turn it to push the rivet out.

Crimping pliers for cutting brake cables, brake housing, or derailleur housing cleanly and safely.

Essential for locking the cassette during disassembly to prevent it from rotating.
Compatible with most multi-speed cassettes. The numbers 10, 11 and 12T on the tool refer to the number of teeth on the smallest sprocket. Count the teeth on your smallest sprocket and set the removable pin to the matching number to lock the cassette before loosening it.

How to look after your bike:

This all-weather chain lube is designed for doing step 3. Once you've applied the degreaser (step 1), spray the bike with the cleaner and rinse and dry it (step 2), then apply your bike lube (step 3). Your bike will be as good as new.

The design team has come up with a system that's compatible with the straps on 3- and 5-point harnesses. It means that this footmuff can be used on a toboggan, in a stroller, or in a bike trailer.

What makes this footmuff multi-purpose?

Based on our simulations, this footmuff is comfortable in temperatures between - 5°C and -25°C. We test our products in the lab to measure their thermal insulation. The measurements are taken on a thermal mannequin wearing ski clothing and accessories. The comfortable temperature is the outside temperature at which a two-year-old child is neither too warm nor too cold. This feeling will vary depending on the intensity of the activity and the individual person.

How is the comfortable temperature of this footmuff measured?

Our designers use wadding to keep your body warm. This synthetic polyester material traps air. If the wadding is thicker, it will trap more air and provide better insulation.
This footmuff uses:
- two layered pieces of wadding, each weighing 150 g/m².
- one layer of insulation with needle punch reinforcement in the seat weighing 150 g/m².
- a 220 g/m² fleece lining on the back and seat.

How can you be sure that your baby will stay warm when dragging them through snow on a toboggan?

To keep your baby warm and dry, dress them in 3 technical layers as explained below, plus accessories (snow boots, mittens, ski socks): 
- Layer 1, or a thermal base layer, to keep them dry.
- Layer 2, or an insulating layer, to keep the heat in. 
- Layer 3 to protect them from the weather.

How should you dress a baby inside this footmuff in cold or very cold weather?

This waterproof baby footmuff has passed a shower test of 60 L of water / m² / hour for 4 hours. This test reproduces the average conditions of a snow storm.

How do we check the waterproofing of this baby footmuff?

Fabrics are made waterproof by using a coating or membrane. This waterproofing is measured in Schmerber or mm H2O (the pressure exerted by a water column). The higher this number, the more waterproof the fabric. This baby footmuff is made from a coated waterproof fabric (tested under the JIS 1092 standard) that withstands 5000 mm H20 (Schmerber) before washing (the pressure of a 5 m water column).

How do we check the waterproofing of this baby footmuff's fabric?

- 20 x 19 cm (8 x 7 1/2") pocket for a toy, dummy, etc.
- Full hood that fits over a ski helmet. Rip-tab at the back for adjusting it and press-studs at the front to keep it in place.
- Flap all the way down the zip to prevent heat loss.

What are the features of the Decathlon baby footmuff?

To adapt it to your child's height (73 cm to 95 cm/2’5” to 3’2”), you can roll up the footmuff and attach the rip-tab to the bottom.

How do you adjust the length of this baby footmuff?

With the water-repellent zipper and its 4 sliders, you have several options:
- spread out the sides of the footmuff to make it easier to put your child on a toboggan or in a stroller.
- cover or uncover your child. 
- open or close it to ventilate the bottom half of the footmuff.

What's the point of the zipper that goes all the way around the footmuff?

We've taken particular care to choose suitable materials so that this product will last as long as possible.
When used on a toboggan, in a stroller, or in a bike trailer, this baby footmuff will be subjected to repeated abrasion. The design team has therefore chosen a fabric that resists wear for the bottom part of the outside of the product.
We conducted a Martindale test (EN ISO 12947-1:1999) and found that the fabric resists abrasion for up to 72,000 cycles.

How can you be sure that this baby footmuff will last?

This product is repairable. 
Throughout the warranty period, we undertake to repair your product free of charge. Whether it's been snagged, a seam has come undone or the zipper has broken, visit your local store and we'll see to it. 
If we're unable to repair your product (owing to a manufacturing defect), you can exchange it for a new one or get a refund.

Is this baby footmuff repairable?

- Not suitable as nightwear.

Disc Brake Compatibility

Here's our advice for the best results on your chain/drive train: Apply the degreaser with a paintbrush or your chain cleaner.
Scrub hard-to-reach spots with a brush (drive train rollers, cassettes).
Leave for a few seconds before rinsing with water until all residue and black marks disappear. Then dry the chain and drive train with a microfibre cloth or compressed air.
You can then lubricate the parts.

If you use a brush to apply this degreaser, you'll need about 25 ml (1 oz.) of product for a good application (about 20 uses with this bottle).
If you use this degreaser with our chain cleaner, you will need 9 ml (1/3 oz.) per use (i.e. 55 uses with this 500 ml (1/2 qt.) bottle).

How much degreaser should you use?

This plant-based degreaser is designed for doing step 1. Once you've applied the degreaser, spray the bike with the cleaner and rinse and dry it (step 2), then apply your bike lube (step 3). Your bike will be as good as new.

Prevent any contact with your disc brakes or brake pads.
Protect them with a microfibre cloth.

How to dress your children so they stay warm on the slopes

Thermal insulation will keep your young skiers at just the right temperature. This garment adapts to the body’s movements and to the outside environment. We use synthetic insulation to keep the body warm. Made from polyester, it stores air depending on the length of the fibres. The thicker the insulation, the more air it contains and the warmer it is.
