What bars are compatible with this 5 kg (11 lb) weight training disc?

Remember to invest in a pair of disc collars to lock the weights onto your bar as you exercise. Our disc collars are sold in pairs (ref: 8574652) so that you can train safely.
Just be careful: the disc collars have a weight limit of 15 kg (33 lb) in a vertical position.

Use disc collars to stay safe while training

- To store your cast-iron plates, you can use a wall mount for discs (ref: 8796727) or a storage rack (ref: 8788246) to install indoors (such as in a garage).
- Do not store your weights outdoors or in a damp place, since cast iron is likely to rust if exposed to moisture.
- Dust your discs with a microfibre cloth when they have been stored for a long time.

Storing your cast-iron weight training discs

Upper-body workout focusing on building muscle mass:
Short recovery time between each set.

Start with the lower number of reps, and keep a two-rep margin. Increase by one rep per week.

Why use a barbell squat pad for squats? 

We designed this barbell squat pad with very dense foam to prevent the bar from getting too far from your shoulders. You’ll feel as if nothing had been added to it at all. 

Why is the foam so dense? 

Attach the squat pad to the barbell in just two easy steps: - Insert the bar into the groove on the squat pad. - Close the rip tabs to keep it in place. Make sure to correctly centre the squat pad on the barbell so that it is properly balanced on your shoulders. Adding the squat pad to your barbell is quick and easy, and lets you fully focus on working out your legs. 

How to attach your barbell squat pad 

Our bar sleeve has two rip tabs to keep it in place, so you can work out with peace of mind. These rip tabs ensure it stays on safely while you exercise, preventing the bar from sliding or the pad from coming off. 

Do squats and lunges safely. 

We recommend using our knee pads (item 8548500) to keep your joints supported and reduce the chance of injury.

Workout recommendations from our coach (1/2)

Take a short rest between each set (about 1.5 to 2 minutes). 
For each exercise, start at the recommended minimum reps (make sure to stop when you still have 2 reps left in you), and increase by one rep a week until you reach the maximum. Then you can add more weight to the bar. Whenever you add more weight to the bar, start again with the minimum number of reps and increase them incrementally until you reach the maximum.

Soft Foam Roller description

Why use a foam roller?

Whatever you like!
If you’ve been injured or want a gentle massage, opt for a softer foam. However, if you are an experienced athlete, we recommend the hard foam roller. Choose the one that suits you best!

What’s the difference between a soft foam and hard foam massage roller?

Massage rollers are essential during warm-up to stimulate blood circulation and prepare your muscles.

During training, self-massage helps to relax muscles, improving performance.

After training, using a massage roller relaxes your muscles, reduces pain, and speeds up recovery.

When should you use a soft massage roller?

To use a soft mobility roller for self-massage, use it on the area you want to work on.

Simply place the massage roller on a flat surface and roll it over the area, be it your back, legs, arms, etc.

Never overdo it and stop if you feel any pain.

Using the soft foam roller

The Massage and Mobility Ball (ref.:8544539) is the perfect tool for massaging hard-to-reach areas. It easily treats the most complex areas.

Make it part of your massage routine!

Relax your muscles better before or after a workout or cross-training session with the mobility ball.

After a day’s work or an upper-body session, remember to do an upper-body self-massage routine to relax:
- Back self-massage:45 seconds on your chest area and 45 seconds on your lumbar area (make sure you keep your back straight and don’t arch your back on the roller).- Latissimus dorsi self-massage on the floor: 45 seconds on each side.
- Triceps and shoulders self-massage against a wall: 45 seconds on each side.

- It is suitable for a minimum space of 65 cm (25.5”) and weighs 2 kg (4.4 lb).

Dimensions of the pull-up bar

You already know about pull-up bars that install in a door frame. This one is even better.
This bar is equipped with a blue ring that locks once installed to ensure user safety.
Always check that the bar is stable by giving it a sharp pull before starting your workout.

What are the features?

Without screws: adjust the length of your bar by turning the two bar ends. Tighten the central part of the bar to make the final adjustments. Slide the little blue ring into one of the two notches to secure it. 
A red “Stop” appears if you unscrew it too far.
Balance each side of the bar when placing it. 

With screws: Drill holes at the desired height, using a level to check that they’re even, and insert the screws and tips.

Installing your pull-up bar

Without screws, this bar can hold up to 100 kg (220 lb).
Installed with screws, the bar can hold up to 120 kg (265 lb).
Whether screwed in or not, the bar should not be installed on plasterboard or door frames made of soft wood.
Always clip the blue ring before beginning your workout. 
Check that the bar is properly secured before starting your set by giving it a few sharp jerks. 
Never do exercises upside-down with this bar.

Safety instructions and maximum weight

Lifting your own body weight is often one of the first challenges when doing bodyweight training. Beginners can start with resistance bands (ref: 8484819, 8484820, 8484821), which allow users to adjust the bodyweight needed during their workout.
Once you can do pull-ups, wear a weighted vest 8517613 and 8517611) to increase the difficulty!

What accessories can you use with a pull-up bar?

You can replace the blue ring (ref:  8758386) that secures the bar and the blue plugs (ref: 8758388) found on each end. Our spare parts are available for 10 years after product purchase.

Weight training disc collar dimensions

In weight training, disc collars are an essential accessory, and yet they are sometimes tricky to manipulate (especially the butterfly disc collars!). That’s why we’ve designed this disc collar to be easy to put on and remove in just a few seconds with only one hand. 
The 5-point tightening system ensures your safety by preventing weights from sliding on the bar (up to 15 kg/33 lb if the dumbbell is vertical).

Why choose this pack of weight training disc collars?

Disc collars are installed on barbells or dumbbells, after you place your weights, to hold them in place as you work out.
Here is how to install this one:
- Lift the burgundy tab to loosen the disc collar.
- Slide the disc collar onto your 28 mm (1”) bar or dumbbell.
- Close the disc collar by closing the burgundy tab.
And your disc collar is on!
Remember to put one on each end of your bar.

Installing your weight training disc collars

Always check that your disc collars are closed before beginning your set.

The pressure exerted by your weights on the disc collar is relatively low in a horizontal position, which is why we do not list a maximum weight supported horizontally.

For safety reasons, these disc collars cannot be repaired. That said, if the disc collar breaks under normal conditions of use (the maximum weight was not exceeded), you can bring it to a store to find the best solution.

What to do if your disc collar breaks

Always remove the disc collar from your bar at the end of your workout.
Store it in a cool, dry place out of the light.
