Compatibility

The 2 L (2 qt.) capacity means your water bladder will give you hydration for around 3 hours of riding. 

It’s quick to fill because of its wide opening. When closing it, make sure the slider clips into place to ensure that it won't leak.

Ride with peace of mind

You can cut the tube to the most convenient length for you. 
Remove the bite valve, place the tube in hot water to soften it, cut it to the desired length, and put the bite valve back on.

The bite valve locks (rotates 180°) to prevent leaks when not in use. It won’t drip, even in the open position. To get a good flow when drinking, gently bite the valve and suck.

Adjustable tube and valve for increased comfort.

The materials used to make this water bladder are guaranteed to be free of bisphenol A (BPA).

It measures 35.5 x 17 cm (14 x 7"), with a 100 cm (40") tube.

To make your water bladder last longer, we recommend not folding it, not filling it with hot liquids, and not carrying it upside down or by its tube ;)

Composition, dimensions, and care

To improve water flow and stop the water sloshing around inside the bladder during your ride, we recommend releasing any air before you set off!

Once filled, just turn the hydration bladder upside down, direct the air bubbles toward the tube opening, and suck them out. And hey presto, you can now drink quickly and quietly as you ride!

Removing the air


To avoid a plastic taste when drinking, rinse the product three times before first use. We recommend cleaning it after every ride using the cleaning kit (product ref. 5935596). 
After cleaning, leave the hydration bladder upside down and open to dry thoroughly.

If it still has a plastic taste, place the dry hydration bladder in the freezer for one night.

How to clean your water bladder

To check this water bladder's quality, we've tested it thoroughly in our in-house lab.
Besides spotting no defects during our burst / high pressure tests, we noted an increase in puncture resistance of more than 74%.The water bladder is made in France, which means we can closely monitor production quality (for watertightness and sturdiness over time).

Our products are classified based on performance and features for 3 mountain hiking levels:
- Occasional: about 10 hikes per year of about 3 to 4 hours in length, covering less than 10 km (6 miles), and less than 700 m (2,296 ft.) in elevation gain.
- Regular: about 20 outings per year. 4 to 6 hours, 10 to 20 km (6 to 12 miles), and 700 to 1,200 m (2,296 to 3,937 ft.) of elevation gain per outing.
- Intensive: more than 20 times a year, more than 6 hours, more than 20 km (12 miles), and 1,200 to 2,000 m (3,937 to 6,562 ft.) of elevation gain per outing.

How often do you hike and at what intensity?

Certified sole grip. To be certified, the shoes must pass lab tests to assess their grip rate on different surfaces (smooth, rough, dry, wet). To validate these tests, we have a panel of representative testers evaluate the quality of our soles out in the mountains across 500 km (310 miles).

Grippy sole

The most important thing is to try on several sizes and styles to find the one most suited to you. 
You can choose one size up from your usual size so your toes won’t bump the toe box when going downhill, as long as you still have the proper support to prevent friction.
Tip: keep your toenails short and, before a long descent, check that your laces are tight enough to keep your foot from sliding forward in the shoe.

What size should I choose?

Certain Decathlon stores have a test trail.

1. Try on both shoes, standing up, wearing your hiking socks.
2. Tighten the laces, making sure they’re evenly tightened.
3. Check two points:
- your heel doesn’t lift up before the shoe when walking uphill.
- your foot doesn’t slide and your toes don’t touch the front when going downhill.
4. Try on several sizes and models.

Break them in gradually to adapt them to your feet.

Buying tips/how to try on hiking boots

Hikers who are unaffiliated with Decathlon test all our shoes for initial comfort and comfort in use under the same conditions you encounter when hiking. This is done to further develop the product and evaluate it as objectively as possible, for your total satisfaction.

Field tests

Laboratory tests were conducted to test the following elements: attachment of eyelets and webbing, assembly, toxicology, UV resistance, sole and upper component abrasion, and accelerated ageing. 

Lab tests

The original insole in your shoes is designed to fit most feet. Changing the insole may provide:
1. Improved support: some soles are preformed or reinforced to better support the arch of the foot. 
2. More comfort: the insoles can also provide warmth and/or cushioning.
3. Longer life: restore the support and comfort of your shoes by replacing the insole each season.

Optimize your shoes: replace your insoles!

Blisters generally develop when the skin is weakened by friction. To prevent blistering, we recommend the following:
- Choose a shoe in your size.
- Wear suitable socks.
- Tie and tighten your shoes properly.
- Readjust your laces throughout your hike, particularly before a climb or a descent. 
- Wear your shoes on a short trip for the first use.

How to avoid blisters

- Leave to air dry.
- Remove dry mud with a stiff brush. 
- Clean marks using a brush and some warm water.
- Leave to dry.
- Spray with a re-waterproofing product to restore the upper’s water resistance.

In a nutshell

With a 250 ml (8.5 fl oz) volume, this soft flask lets you carry a sports drink for extra hydration in addition to your water bottle, for mountain bike rides under 2 hours. 

It sits neatly inside the pack next to your other belongings.

Before leaving, squeeze the air out after filling to increase flow rate of drink. To so do, simply turn the flask upside down, squeeze to push the air bubbles to the mouthpiece and suck them in. 
The mouthpiece is lockable (rotates 180°) to prevent leaks when not used. It won’t drip, even in the open position. To drink, gently bite the mouthpiece and suck in! 

Getting good flow

2 pockets on either side (phone, energy bars, tissues) provide direct access. 
Inside, everything has its place:
either in the centre space (inner tube, windbreaker),
or the 2 secure pockets (ID, map, chain connector), 
or in the 3 compartments (phone, multi-tool, tire levers).

There's also a hook for your keys. 
Plus a loop for attaching a clip-on LED light at the back.

Carry all your things

We recommend waterproofing your belt to help it last longer. Even though the fabric is already water-repellent, extra waterproofing will stop mud from getting caked into it. 

Wash your flask in clean water 3 times before first use. If your flask has a plastic taste, you should: 1- Wash it with vinegar and baking soda
2- Place it empty in the freezer
3- Dry it fully before putting it away
