From what we’ve seen on the field and through discussions with coaches, we took note of various needs when laying out exercises: marking points on the ground, dodging, etc. And so, the Essential collection was designed: It's made up of clever, affordable products that fulfil a major function (marking out drills, creating targets, etc.) to help you run fun, effective training sessions for all age groups. "We wanted to create a simple product that has always been around in the sport. The goal was to take a fresh look at an object that was often taken for granted. The flat markers are used in all drills. We added a unique shape to reflect Kipsta's strong identity: even training markers can look nice!"

A strong visual design is important. But a reliable, safe marker is even better. To test how durable the Essential cones are, we therefore ran all sorts of demanding field tests. Budding soccer players at the Kipstacademy had a whale of a time testing their durability by walking all over the cones!

How to self-massage correctly after exercise

Each ball model is tested and must meet a maximum variation of 1.8% of the measured average (FIFA Quality certification).We measure the ball’s sphericity at 4,500 different points and then examine any differences. Beyond the FIFA Quality standard, our engineers are committed to improving sphericity to ensure consistent bounce.

A round ball? 

The ball is dropped onto a steel plate 10 times from a height of 2 m.
 The bounce height must be between 125 cm and 155 cm, with a maximum difference of 10 cm between its highest and lowest bounce.

A regular bounce

To simulate rainy playing conditions in a lab, we put the ball in 2 cm of water on a pivoting support and subject it to 250 compressions.
At the end of the test, the ball must have absorbed no more than 10% of its weight (FIFA Quality standard).
