1 - Choosing the right size
Choose ski size according to your weight and not ski length. 900 Cross-Country Ski Skate Soft camber - 55 kg to 65 kg (121 lb to 143 lb) = 181 cm Medium camber - 65 kg to 75 kg (143 lb to 165 lb) = 181 cm - 70 kg to 90 kg (154 lb to 198 lb) = 188 cm Hard camber - 90 kg to 120 kg (198 lb to 264 lb) = 188 cm - 100 kg to 130 kg (220 lb to 287 lb) = 193 cm It’s important to take your level into account—a long ski optimizes glide and speed.
2 - A sintered base for superior glide
The base is the part of the ski in contact with the snow. It is made of polyethylene (HDPE), which can be extruded or sintered during the manufacturing process. The base of the 900 Cross-Country Skate Skis is made of sintered HDPE, a high molecular weight plastic powder that is heated, compressed, and cut into a plate. This process produces a denser base and delivers superior glide and durability.
3 - Xcelerator skate ski bindings—the technology to help you go faster!
All our skis are sold with Rottefella bindings that are compatible with the NNN, Prolink, and Turnamic standards. 900 Cross-Country Skate Skis are equipped with Rottefella Xcelerator skate bindings and the quick-lock system. The binding can be easily moved without tools.
4 - Waxing: the key to durability!
We recommend waxing the underside of new skis for optimal glide. Several consecutive waxes are best to build up a proper base. To keep skis in top performing condition, remember to wax them often! Check out tutorials on how to wax your skis on our Inovik YouTube channel.
Glossary = ski construction
Our skis are made using a “sandwich” structure: different materials are layered in the core of the ski and across its width. The final product is assembled with a press.
