Experience
The H 100 Downhill Ski Helmet is the most affordably priced model in the Wedze ski helmet range. For safe skiing by beginners and occasional skiers. This helmet complies with the same standards as the others. However, its comfort and finish are more average compared to the other models. It does not have the same level of quality as a more expensive helmet.
Compatibility
Wedze helmets and goggles are designed to be worn together.
Adjustment dial
Use the adjustment dial to keep your helmet secure. Easy to reach even with gloves on, use the dial to make simple and precise adjustments any time. Adjust for comfort and maximum safety. Turn the dial right to tighten and left to loosen.
ABS construction
The helmet is injection moulded, with an ABS outer shell capable of withstanding powerful impacts. Durable and resistant to bumps and knocks. The internal Epos skullcap absorbs impact during collisions. We recommend that you change your ski helmet at least every 5 years or following a significant impact.
EN 1077 standard
EN 1077 is a European standard that applies to downhill skiing and snowboarding protective helmets. This standard tests the helmet’s ability to absorb shocks and resist perforation. The 2 classes are: - Class A: protects the ears and the top, back and sides of the head .- Class B: Protects the top and back of the head but does not cover the ears.
What size?
* Measure the circumference of your head in centimetres (around the middle of the forehead and just above the ears). Choose the size that matches this measurement. Example: For a head circumference of 56 cm (22 in), try a helmet in size 55–59 cm (21 ½–23 in).
Fitting
Take plenty of time to try on the helmet carefully. You shouldn’t feel any discomfort. If you do, try another model. Always try your helmet on with your mask. Not all helmets are compatible with all masks. To be considered compatible, there should be no gap between the goggles and helmet.
Helmet adjustment
When skiing, your helmet should be properly fitted and adjusted: * Choosing the right size is essential. * Use the adjustment dial to adjust the head circumference. * Properly adjust the chinstrap. Think of it like the seat belt in a car: too loose and it won’t do its job to protect you.
Safety
For optimal protection, avoid wearing a thick hat under your helmet that could cause it to shift on your head. Wear a thin beanie or balaclava instead. Helmets have good insulating properties. They may be all you need. Attaching a camera to your helmet is not a great idea. It could affect your safety. The standard does not account for anything added to the helmet.
