Each part is specially designed. The low frame makes it easy for kids to get on and off, and handle obstacles like hills. The footrests encourage them to try balancing. The position of the footrests prepares them for a real bike. Last but not least, the saddle curves up at the back so kids can propel themselves efficiently.
Does anything prevent the handlebars from turning?
The handlebar rotates over a wide angle for greater manoeuvrability. However, the shape of the frame stops the handlebars from rotating all the way around. Kids can practise steering safely.

Our Runride 500 balance bike weighs 3.4 kg (7 1/2 lbs). It weighs more than the Runride 100 model because of the brake and the bearings in the wheels.
Stop Easy innovation: a patented braking system designed for children.
Our Stop Easy system makes braking easier and provides a comfortable grip. The brake lever is pressed parallel to the handlebars for greater movement. This innovative brake lever also provides 30% more braking power than a conventional brake lever. A Btwin innovation that both parents and children love.
Brake like the big kids!
We opted for a V-brake system with mini aluminum callipers. It was specially designed for balance bikes: the adjusting screw is at the back so your child's legs won't rub against it. We’ve added ribs to the brakes that fit with the grooves on the plastic rims for effective braking. The slight noise you hear when the brake pads rub against the rims is proof that the brakes are working effectively.

The wheels are 10", with plastic rims and solid EVA foam hybrid tires.
Why is the bearing quality important?
Balance bikes teach kids to propel themselves so they can learn to balance. The bearing quality is important, as it allows kids to gain enough momentum to lift their feet and find their balance. Our 500 model really stands out from other models in the same class. The wheels are equipped with ball bearings, which are known as being more efficient.
Adjustment range: The difference is in the details
The 11 cm (4") adjustment range on the saddle of this balance bike means your child can continue to ride it as they grow. Minimum saddle height: 30.2 cm (12") Maximum saddle height: 41.2 cm (16") For beginners, the saddle should be at crotch height so that they can place their feet flat on the ground. The handlebar can also be adjusted by 8 cm (3"). Min. handlebar height: 43.5 cm (17") Max. handlebar height: 51.5 cm (20")

Are tools required?
We also took parents' needs into account. The quick release system allows you to adjust the height of the saddle without tools. Height adjusts using a 5 mm (1/5") Allen key. You will need a 5 mm (1/5") Allen key to remove the wheels The balance bike comes with the right tool.
How are our balance bikes tested?
All our balance bikes are lab-tested. These tests confirm that our products comply with the EN-71 safety standard for toys, as well as checking the bike's resistance, and braking power. The product is tested to meet the needs of kids and parents alike, and stands up to real-life conditions.
What’s in the box?
The box contains the bike’s parts (wheels, frame, and saddle) and the tools you need to assemble it. Don't worry, we've included assembly instructions, too! Your budding young rider will have a bike that's been assembled and adjusted just for them.
How to ride safely
The bike should not be used on public roads. When learning to cycle, kids should ride on the sidewalk. Wear protective equipment (helmet and pads) when biking.
