Safety precautions
We recommend wearing a helmet, elbow and knee pads, and wrist guards. You never know when you’re going to take a tumble!
One skate, many sizes
Easily adjust the size: 1. Open lever. 2. Pull toe forward. 3. Close lever. Thanks to this unique system, your child can enjoy their skates for more than one season. Make sure to pick skates that fit your child’s feet. If they’re too big or too heavy, your child will have poor posture and struggle to control their movements.
Ultra comfortable
The semi-stiff boots have foam padding for extra comfort and moisture-wicking airy mesh to keep your child’s feet dry for longer. They’re easy to put on thanks to their simple, effective fasteners: each boot has a top micrometric buckle and a rip-tab fastener on the instep so the heel fits snugly. Sizes 11.5C–1 and 1–3.5 have elastic laces and sizes 3.5–6, standard laces.
Easy brake system
The lightweight composite plate ensures a smooth, easy glide. The 70 mm 80A wheels and ABEC 3 bearings provide effortless glide and maneuverability. They come with a classic rubber brake that you can attach to either the right or left boot. Spare brakes are available in stores.
Why rubber beats plastic
Unlike plastic, which skids, rubber provides good traction. This prevents slipping when your child pushes off and helps them brake effectively. What’s more, rubber wears less quickly than plastic. Our Oxelo teams work hard to keep your child safe, however experienced they are. That’s why we chose to equip all our kids’ skates with rubber wheels and brakes.
Making your wheels last
Some parts of the wheels will wear out more quickly, so switch their positions regularly. Replace them once they’ve worn down to the first of the seven visible rings.
What wheels are on the FIT 3 skates?
The FIT 3 skates are equipped with 70 mm wheels. Inline skates in sizes 1/3.5 and 3.5/6 can be equipped with 76 mm wheels, even light-up ones, which are available online or in store.
Spare parts
You can get wheels of all sizes and colours (even glow-in-the-dark ones), brakes, and screws on our website or at your local Decathlon workshop. All parts are easy to install.
