Will these boots be warm enough for your child’s winter hikes?
We carry out comparative studies in a thermal laboratory in walking conditions with low wind (5 km/h). This is how we measure the thermal resistance of our boots. However, every individual feels the cold differently. Comfort temperature: felt slightly cold and 70% of users find the thermal sensation acceptable on their feet. Limit temperature: felt very cold and 10% of users consider the thermal sensation acceptable on their feet.
Are my boots 100% waterproof?
These boots have a membrane to guarantee waterproofing and breathability. A membrane is a very thin component applied to the inner surface of the fabric that prevents water from entering while allowing moisture to escape. We tested this product in a laboratory simulating walking with the feet half-immersed in water. This shoe model was tested for up to 8,000 flexes, equivalent to 16 km of walking.

The material and tread of SnowContact soles are specifically designed for optimal grip and traction on snow. SnowContact soles are more effective on snow than traditional soles. When walking on ice, adding crampons to your boots is the only way to ensure optimum safety.
How do I choose the right footwear for hiking in the snow?
To stay warm when hiking in the winter, we recommend: Warmth: wear warm socks (ideally with a good percentage of wool). Breathability: choose socks based on the intensity of the hike and, to minimize moisture, make sure they’re breathable. Boot height: the height of your socks should correspond to the height of the boot—for more protection, choose higher socks.
How to preserve the technical qualities of the boots
Water repellency is a fabric’s capacity to make water run off its surface without being absorbed. It prevents the fabric from soaking up water, keeping it lightweight, warm, and breathable. Water repellency is achieved by treating the fabric’s exterior. This treatment needs to be reapplied throughout the product’s lifetime. Products for this purpose (spray or liquid) are available in our stores.
Our tips on use and care
The boot can accumulate moisture (sweat, condensation). If there is a lot of moisture, remove the insole, stuff it with newspaper and change the paper regularly to speed up the drying process. Do not dry near direct sources of heat. Leave to dry in a warm, dry and well-ventilated place.
Is the tightening different depending on the size, like on other models?
No, the type of tightening remains the same for all sizes (7.5C–6).
