Boardshorts are swimming shorts. They were created in the 1950s for surfing. Over the years, they have become a popular style of swimsuit. The name comes from their use in aquatic board sports, like surfing. They were developed primarily to limit chafing against the board.
Boardshorts design
Sessions lasting more than 2 hours If you tend to be on the water for more than 2 hours at a time, boardshorts with a flat waistband are ideal, as they’ll fit snugly but comfortably at the waist. A bit of stretch is also important to ensure good freedom of movement.
