Design details

How is thermal comfort measured?
The thermal resistance test measures the loss of heat between the body and the outside using probes or thermal models. It evaluates the effectiveness of the product’s insulating properties. In this case, the tests provide a comfort temperature of -20°C, and a lower temperature limit of -40°C.
How waterproof is it?
This parka has been designed with a waterproof coating (JIS 1092 Standard) that can withstand 15,000 mm water (Schmerber), which is the pressure exerted by a 15-metre column of water per centimetre squared of fabric. Its fully watertight seams make it completely water-resistant.
Keeps snow out!
The hood, cuffs and bottom can be a coat's weakest points when it comes to letting snow in. This is not the case with this jacket. The hood is elastic, the cuffs adjustable and the hem tightenable, for maximum insulation from the elements!
No more ill-fitting hoods!
For greater comfort when walking in the wind, the discreet cord lock built into the jacket allows you to easily tighten the hood for the best fit. No more loose hoods: you’ll remain well protected from the cold and snow.
What are the advantages of feathers?
The feather traps in air for good thermal insulation. It’s also lighter and more compressible than synthetic wadding, offering effective warmth without adding weight—ideal for freedom of movement in winter.
How should you wash your feather down jacket?
Close all the zippers on your down jacket and put it in the washing machine (synthetic cycle at 30°C). Add two tennis balls to the machine to maintain the puffiness of the parka. Note: choose a gentle spin cycle to prevent the risk of creating feather balls that are difficult to separate.
Straps for complete comfort
When your body heats up through physical exertion or from the sun, you don’t have to take off your parka: thanks to the built-in straps, it can be worn on the shoulders, like a backpack. You can move freely without getting too hot and have your hands free.
Should I re-waterproof my parka?
To find out if your parka is still waterproof, do the water droplet test. Pour water on the garment. If it beads, no need to re-waterproof. If it’s absorbed, the garment lost its waterproofing and requires a treatment!
How do you re-waterproof your jacket?
You can use one of the waterproofing products available in our stores or on our website. Leave the jacket to soak for 15 minutes or machine wash at 30°C with a waterproofing product in the softener compartment.
