Our model is wearing a size M top and size M bottoms. He is 1.74 (5'9") meters tall.
Resistant to friction
Fabric with a tight weave. The result? An authentic rainproof mountain biking jacket that can deal with all sorts of rubbing during your MTB outings (hydration pack straps, branches, etc.)
What is a waterproof fabric?
Waterproofness is a fabric’s ability to prevent rainwater from soaking through. A fabric’s waterproofing is determined by measuring its resistance to pressure exerted by a water column, measured in mm (based on the ISO 811 standard). The higher the pressure, the more waterproof the fabric. The fabric used is waterproof to 10 000 mm, meaning that it resists the pressure of a 10 000 mm water column (roughly the same as a heavy thunderstorm).
Breathable fabric
To determine whether a fabric is breathable, we measure its evaporative resistance (test based on the ISO 11092 standard). The fabric we chose has a breathability rating (RET) of 6 on a scale out of 40. The lower the rating, the more the fabric lets through the water vapour generated by your body during exerciseWhat the scores mean:RET ≤ 3 = extremely breathable fabric RET ≤ 6 = very breathable fabric RET ≤ 12 = breathable fabric RET ≤ 20 = not very breathable fabric
What is a triple-layer jacket?
This all-mountain jacket is made with a triple-layer membrane. What does that mean? - 3 layers: the membrane is glued between the outer and inner fabric. Used for durable, effective jackets. - 2.5 layers: the membrane is glued under the outer fabric and protected by a thin film on the inside. Used for lightweight jackets. - 2 layers: the membrane is only glued to the outer fabric.
Pockets
A waterproof zippered pocket on the chest gives you easy access when wearing a backpack or fanny pack. The pocket has a specific space for your keys and your phone so they won't rattle around during your ride. The two-way main zipper means you can open it from the bottom for better ventilation on climbs. The zipper pulls are easy to use, even when wearing gloves.
Size and cut
This product is fitted to take full advantage of its stretchy fabric. The raglan sleeves come right up to the neckline (when in a cycling position). This makes them stretchy, leaving you free to move around. Wear a thin, lightweight base layer under this jacket, as well as a lightweight mid layer.
A hood for Mountain Biking
The hood is sized to fit a helmet, which is essential when mountain biking. You can adjust the height and depth as needed. A semi-rigid visor protects your forehead and eyes. The collar comes up high to offer good protection for your chin and mouth. The little detail that makes all the difference: the side of the hood is slightly curved for better peripheral vision.
A hole for your water bladder tube
There is an elastic loop on the chest for feeding your water bladder's tube through.
