Design details

Component waterproofing
The waterproofing of a fabric is measured in Schmerbers or mm of water (pressure of a water column). The higher this number, the more waterproof the fabric. This jacket is designed with a waterproof coating: this component resists 5,000 mm of water (Schmerbers) before washing (equivalent to the pressure exerted by a 5,000 mm column of water).
Long-lasting performance
To maintain water repellency, we recommend regular reactivation. Reactivate water repellency after three washes (remember to rinse thoroughly) or after using a dozen times in the rain. You can easily reactivate water repellency by warming the fabric: - in a dryer for 15 minutes (synthetics cycle) - with a hair dryer, moving back and forth at a distance of 20 cm (8”), twice - with an iron on the delicate setting and with the steam function off
Fabric breathability
The fabric of this jacket is breathable: RET = 12.Component breathability is measured using thermal evaporative resistance (RET). RET refers to a fabric’s capacity to let perspiration evaporate. The lower the RET, the more breathable the fabric. RET ≤ 6: very breathable fabric RET ≤ 12: breathable fabric RET ≤ 20: little or no breathability
