Our model comes with a detachable front pocket. Depending on your body shape, it can be really useful to move your pocket to the front using the rip tab to make it accessible. Plus, it won’t annoy you on the sides when hiking.

Waterproofing

When you are travelling by plane, the authorized carry-on luggage size is 55 x 35 x 25 cm maximum. This can vary depending on the airline. 
This bag can be used as carry-on luggage as long as you don’t load the top too much.

1 - Loosen all the straps (shoulder straps, belt, load adjuster straps).

3 - As this bag is small in volume, put the belt around the waist and tighten it.

How to adjust the backpack



Put your bedding at the bottom. Place heavy equipment against your back. Pack your clothes around these items. Keep a waterproof and/or fleece jacket at hand. Place small frequently used items in the pockets (sunscreen, map, glasses, etc.). The water bladder can be placed in the compartment generally provided down the back.

How to pack a backpack

We recommend handwashing your backpack. Use soapy, lukewarm water and focus on the areas in contact with the body (shoulder straps, back, and belt), using a brush if needed. 
This is the best way to maintain the fabric’s properties, particularly the waterproofing. 
Rinse well with lukewarm water and dry away from heating sources and sunlight. Store in a dry place.

We improved this product with an eco-design approach.
Textile dyeing requires a lot of water and produces wastewater from the dye baths. We dye every other thread to reduce water consumption and water pollution.
To reduce our impact on the environment, we use a bulk dyeing method that incorporates colour pigment during manufacture of the threads (references: 8649342, 8649339, 8649346).

The backpack’s components are validated in the lab: fabric, buckles, straps, foam, and zippers. For example, we test the fabric’s resistance to abrasion and tearing, colourfastness when subjected to UV light and washing, and waterproofing. We also check the resistance of the assembly using a dummy that reproduces the movements of a hiker to replicate several years of wear and tear.

Dyeing textiles requires a lot of water and discharges wastewater into the environment. 
To reduce this impact, we use the following two dyeing processes:
1. We don’t dye the interior fabric.
2. Mass pigmentation is used, adding the colour pigments during yarn production for the dark grey outer fabric.
