Features

What is this tool for?

Preparation
Count the number of teeth on the smallest sprocket, set the cassette removal tool accordingly, and make sure you know what direction to turn the tool for unscrewing (counter-clockwise).  
PositioningPlace the chain whip on the smallest sprocket (on the outside).Set the tools at an angle of 10 to 10 (on a clock face) to each other.

Use the whip to keep the cassette still and unscrew using the cassette removal tool.

How to look after your bike

This kit contains the 3 products needed to carry out the 3 steps required to properly maintain your bike. You will be able to carry out at least 3 full services on your bike.
Products included in the kit: 
01. Plant-based degreaser (100 ml)
02. Concentrated bike cleaner (100 ml)
03. All-weather chain lubricant (50 ml)

Kit contents

This degreaser lets you effectively degrease your drive train. You can apply it using a brush or our chain cleaner. 
Application with a brush: pour about 25 ml into a pot and apply generously to your chain, cassette, derailleurs and derailleur pulleys. Leave for a few moments then move on to step 2.
Application with the chain cleaner: pour on about 9 ml, turn the pedals a few times before moving on to step 2.

How to use the drive train degreaser

Pour about 30 ml of concentrate into a bucket of water then apply generously with a sponge to the whole bike. 
The product will not damage the paint or any other components of the bike.
Rinse with clean water then dry your bike. Pay particular attention to drying, especially your drive train, to ensure total efficiency later on. Now you can move on to step 3.

How to use the concentrated bike cleaner

Remove the cap, position the applicator on the lower part of the chain (inner side) and make a full turn (in the opposite direction to pedalling). 
To make sure you don’t apply too much, use your quick-release as a guide.  
Remove the excess lubricant with a cloth placed under the chain, then do 2 or 3 complete turns of the pedal (in the opposite direction).
The lubricant will protect your chain in all riding conditions.

How to use your chain lubricant

01. degrease your drive train if you’re applying the product with a brush, be careful not to project the dirt towards you.
02. concentrated bike cleaner: in winter, use warm water to make this step easier and use cold water in the summer.
03. chain lubricant: apply on the inside of the chain, position the applicator on the lower part of the chain.

Good to know

Remember to degrease your chain before applying new grease in order to remove any residue that could make abrasive contact with your drive train. This will help your equipment last longer and save you money.

Disc Brake Compatibility

Here's our advice for the best results on your chain/drive train: Apply the degreaser with a paintbrush or your chain cleaner.
Scrub hard-to-reach spots with a brush (drive train rollers, cassettes).
Leave for a few seconds before rinsing with water until all residue and black marks disappear. Then dry the chain and drive train with a microfibre cloth or compressed air.
You can then lubricate the parts.

If you use a brush to apply this degreaser, you'll need about 25 ml (1 oz.) of product for a good application (about 20 uses with this bottle).
If you use this degreaser with our chain cleaner, you will need 9 ml (1/3 oz.) per use (i.e. 55 uses with this 500 ml (1/2 qt.) bottle).

How much degreaser should you use?

This plant-based degreaser is designed for doing step 1. Once you've applied the degreaser, spray the bike with the cleaner and rinse and dry it (step 2), then apply your bike lube (step 3). Your bike will be as good as new.

Protect them with a microfibre cloth.

Check the sidewall for tire information (diameter and width). For example, 27.5 x 1.90 means a tire with a 27.5” diameter that is 1.90” wide.
The dimensions in mm (ETRTO international unit) are also on the tire sidewall.
For example 50-584 means the tire is 50 mm wide with an inner diameter of 584 mm (or 27.5 x 1.90).

How to choose your inner tube

Remove the old inner tube using Btwin tire levers.

Removing an inner tube

Check the condition of your tire and replace it if necessary. 
Make sure no objects are lodged in the tire.
Check the condition of your tire rim strip.
A rim strip that’s even slightly bent can cause punctures.
Check that your rim doesn’t have any other issues that could damage your inner tube.

Checks to carry out before installing an inner tube

Watch our video before you start.
Pre-inflate the inner tube slightly to avoid pinching.
Make sure you’re using the correct valve for your rim and then insert it.
Put the entire inner tube inside the tire so that it fits inside the rim.
Take care not to pinch the inner tube when installing it.

Installing the inner tube

Start installing the tire at the valve.
Finish installing the tire across from the valve to avoid pinching the inner tube.
Never install your tire with a tool or a tire lever, as you risk pinching or puncturing the inner tube.

Carefully inflate your tire to the pressure recommended by the manufacturer (visible on the tire sidewall in PSI or bars: 1 bar = 14.51 PSI).
Regularly check that your tire is in the correct position as you inflate it.
