Weight

Packrafting is a terrific activity for outdoor enthusiasts. It gives you the freedom to go just about anywhere, as you can plan treks that cover both land and water. Carry your packraft in your backpack while you hike or bike,
then simply inflate it to explore calm rivers or lakes.

Why go packrafting?

Both rafts and packrafts can be used on rivers. Rafts are designed to carry a team and are steered with single-blade canoe paddles, while packrafts are for solo paddlers using double-blade kayak paddles. A raft typically weighs around 80 kg, as it’s meant to be paddled by more than one person.
The compact packraft is much lighter, weighing only 2 kg.

Rafts vs. packrafts

The packraft’s main colours are similar to those seen in river scenery to provide an immersive experience, while the orange components ensure that you remain visible on the water at all times. Itiwit tested several different prototypes to achieve the ideal balance between stability and manoeuvrability. Design process

Connect the tube to the packraft valve and pump bag valve. Open the bag fully to trap as much air as possible. Close the bag and roll it down to push the air into the packraft. You can also press down with your knees. 
The packraft is sufficiently inflated when it won’t inflate any further. Use the same technique to inflate your seat.
