Mips® Air Node: safe, lightweight, and ventilated.
The Mips® Air Node system is designed to protect against rotational impacts. In the event of an impact, especially an angled impact, your head may rotate suddenly and violently, which is a common cause of concussions. Mips® Air Node is an integrated, discreet layer that lets the helmet move slightly relative to your head. The system stays fixed during normal use, releasing on impact to dissipate rotational energy and reduce the risk of injury.

Safety
Because safety comes first, this helmet meets the highest impact standards and complies with European regulation EN 1078. The standard covers construction (including field of vision), shock absorption, retention system features (including chinstrap and tightening devices), and marking and information.

S: 52–55 cm (20.5–21.7″) | 260 g M: 55–59 cm (21.7–23.2″) | 300 g L: 59–62 cm (23.2–24.4″) | 350 g Note: This helmet features the Mips system, which which slightly affects sizing. If you’re at the upper end of a size range, we recommend choosing one size up.
Why Mips® Air Node?
Air Node is the most advanced protection solution from Mips®. Benefits include: Lightweight and well-ventilated: perforated and designed to not impede airflow. Comfort:no pressure points. Smart protection: only activates upon impact to deflect rotational forces.
Ventilation
Optimal ventilation occurs when large air inlets connect to exit channels that let the air flow freely. The head is an essential component for cooling the body during intensive effort. The evacuation of the heat generated is thus a priority for maintaining a high level of performance.
Ventilation and Aerodynamics
Poorly placed vents can greatly increase drag and reduce aerodynamic performance. The RCR-F helmet’s vents are positioned in high pressure zones that do not affect the helmet’s aerodynamics. The three internal channels are wide and deep to ensure optimal airflow. This helmet was developed in a wind tunnel over many hours to make it one of the fastest helmets in the professional peloton.
Helmet life span
Helmets don’t last forever. For maximum safety, we recommend replacing your helmet at least every 5 to 7 years. Be sure to store it in its case, in a dry, cool place away from sunlight. Extreme temperatures can break down the foam faster. Always replace your helmet after a major impact, as damage you can’t see may affect its protective capability.

Return Conditions (specific to PPE)
This helmet is personal protective equipment (PPE). The protection it provides depends on its condition. We can accept only helmets returned in new condition. If your helmet doesn’t suit you, please return it with the user guide and tags.
