Design details

Bike of the Decathlon AG2R World Tour Team’s Professional Cyclists
The Van Rysel RCR Pro Dura Ace Di2 bike is used by the Decathlon Ag2r World Tour team to excel and to win the world’s biggest races. Only the gears ratio has been adapted for amateur use with 52/36 chainwheels.
The RCR Range
The RCR range is built for cyclists who refuse to compromise. With this bike, performance is the top priority. Every tube’s cross-section is engineered to deliver maximum efficiency at key wind angles (–15° to +15°). This “lightweight aero” bike strikes the perfect balance between weight, stiffness, and aerodynamics for a truly exceptional ride. If you want a bike designed to win races, the RCR is it.
What’s the difference between the RCR and the RCR Pro?
A carbon frame is defined by its geometry, its tube shapes, and its layup. The layup is how the carbon fibres are assembled. Not all fibres have the same properties. On the RCR, we use only high-modulus fibres. On the RCR Pro, we use exceptional fibres that increase stiffness in the areas under the most stress while slightly reducing overall weight. The result: the RCR Pro is ready to compete at the highest level.
A closer look at the frame
The RCR Pro’s frame weighs 790 g (1.7 lb) - painted, in size M. The RCR's fork weighs 380 g (0.8 lb) - painted, in size M. The frame can take tires up to 32 mm wide. Weight may vary slightly depending on colour (+/- 50 g). Please note: Never clamp a carbon frame (top tube, seat tube, down tube) in a work stand or bike rack—carbon is a very rigid material but it does not withstand compression.
Cockpit
We’ve specially designed the RCR Pro’s cockpit with our partner Deda to improve the aerodynamics by reducing the front surface while ensuring optimal ergonomics at the 3 contact points (levers, top of handlebar, and drops). The housing is internally routed completely for a streamlined effect. The Deda X VR combo depends on the frame size: (stem length x handlebar width) XXS and XS: 90 x 380 S: 100 x 380 M: 100 x 400 L: 110 x 400 XL: 120 x 400
Shimano Dura Ace Di2 Groupset + Power Meter

Drivetrain Maintenance
Regular maintenance is key, especially if you ride in wet or dirty conditions. A well-maintained drivetrain lasts longer. You should check your chain regularly using the chain wear indicator available on our website.
Drivetrain Lifespan
When buying a bike, it’s important to consider the cost of drivetrain maintenance. Lifespan varies based on how well you take care of your equipment, but here are general estimates: Average lifespan of a well-maintained chain: 5,000 km Average lifespan of a cassette: 10,000–12,000 km A poorly maintained chain can skip, potentially causing damage to your frame.
Disc Brakes
Shimano Dura Ace disc brakes with 160 mm discs at the front and 140 mm at the back. The Dura Ace disc brakes are hydraulic. This gives you more progressive, more powerful braking. You will need to bed the brakes in. Simply brake gradually 20 times at a low speed (20 km/h), then repeat at 30 km/h. Be sure to bed in both brakes. Bedding in creates more friction between the disc and brake pad.
Hydraulic Brake Maintenance
Hydraulic brakes operate within a closed system, with a hose maintaining the seal between the brake lever and caliper. Over time, a slight loss of pressure is normal, which can reduce braking efficiency. If your brake lever feels too soft or pulls all the way to the handlebar, it’s time to bleed the system. This process requires specialized tools and expertise.
Warning and Adjustment
Please note: Never squeeze the brakes without a wheel being attached, as the brake pads could get stuck together. Here’s how to realign the caliper if the rotor is touching the pads: - Brake hard and tighten the caliper at the same time. If the problem persists, go to your nearest store.
Swiss Side Hadron² 500 Ultimate Wheels
Drawing on its F1 experience, Swiss Side combines Swiss engineering prowess with the best components to offer the most high-performance wheels on the market. They guarantee minimal drag, with unrivalled stability even in windy conditions. Continental GP 5000S Tire
The Continental Grand Prix 5000 S TR road tire is faster and lighter and has stronger sidewalls than its predecessor, the GP 5000. Ride faster, feel more comfortable, and get better puncture protection. 700 x 28: pressure between 58 and 94 psi Weight: 280 g (9.9 oz)
Tubeless or inner tube?
We recommend converting your tires to tubeless using the tubeless valve that comes with the bike. Tubeless tires provide more comfort, offer improved efficiency, and are self-sealing for small punctures. However, always carry an inner tube in your repair kit for bigger punctures.

Sold without pedals.
Sizing
Please refer to the bike frame geometry table. If you’re between sizes, choose a smaller frame if you want a bike that’s more responsive and agile. However, if you want to be comfortable when riding long distances, the bigger size is your best bet.
