Care Instructions
Sand or salt sometimes gets stuck between the valve and the hard part of the snorkel, or at the top of the float. This prevents the valve from lying flat or the float from sliding properly: the seal is no longer guaranteed. Simply rinse the snorkel thoroughly with clean water to ensure the valve is lying flat again and the float at the top slides smoothly.
Safety
Snorkelling is an easy and fun family activity! Breathing through a snorkel is more physically demanding than regular swimming. If you feel tired, short of breath, or dizzy, remove your mask and snorkel and get out of the water. The use of this product is not recommended if you have cardiovascular problems (chest infection, angina, asthma, high blood pressure, heart disease, etc.). If in doubt, consult your doctor.
What is the valve for?
If, despite the dry-top system, you still have some water in the snorkel, the valve at its bottom makes it easier to empty. Unlike traditional snorkels, most of the water is drained from its lower valve, so the diver doesn’t need to blow hard to push the water out of the top.
How to use the valve
If a little water gets inside the snorkel, blow gently to expel it through the purge valve. Raise your head out of the water to drain the snorkel instantly. High-speed intensive swimming is not recommended: the valve may get displaced and let water in.
Why choose a dry top snorkel?
We used the dry-top technology developed for our Easybreath mask, so water is blocked from entering your snorkel, even if you go completely underwater. As you dive underwater, a small floater rises and blocks the snorkel tube to prevent water from entering. When you surface, the floater lowers and clears the channel so that you can breathe in fresh air.
