Safety
Because the main reason for getting a helmet is to keep yourself safe, this helmet meets all of the most demanding standards for impacts. Complies with European regulation EN 1078. The standard covers construction (including field of vision), shock absorption, retention system features (including chinstrap and tightening devices), and marking and information.
Size and Weight
The size of a helmet is based on your head circumference. RCR: Size S: 52–55 cm (20.5–21.7 in) - 230 g (8.1 oz). Size M: 55-59 cm (21.7–23.2 in) - 270 g (9.5 oz). Size L: 59-62 cm (23.2–24.4 in) - 290 g (10.2 oz). Note that this helmet is also available in a version with the MIPS system. This system slightly modifies the size grid, so if you are at the upper end of the size range and prefer the MIPS version, we recommend purchasing one size higher.
Ventilation
Optimal ventilation occurs when large air inlets connect to exit channels that let the air flow freely. The head is an essential component for cooling the body during intensive effort. The evacuation of the heat generated is thus a priority for maintaining a high level of performance.
Ventilation and Aerodynamics
Poorly placed vents greatly increase drag and reduce aerodynamic performance. The RCR has a variable ventilation system depending on your position on the bike. For example, when climbing a slope, the straighter up you are, the more effective the system. As soon as you tip down for a descent, the aerodynamics of this helmet make all the difference.
Return Conditions (specific to PPE)
This helmet is personal protective equipment (PPE). The protection it provides depends on its condition. We can accept only helmets returned in new condition. If your helmet doesn’t suit you, please return it with the user guide and tags.
Helmet Lifespan
Helmets don’t last forever. For maximum safety, we recommend replacing your helmet at least every 5–7 years. Be sure to store your helmet in its case, in a dry, cool place away from sunlight. Extreme temperatures deteriorate the helmet’s foam more quickly. Always replace your helmet after a major impact, as damage you can’t see may affect its protective ability.
