Design details

Warm with breathable technology
Heat pads provide good thermal protection during your freeriding adventures. The broad coverage of the three-layer membrane component eliminates perspiration more effectively. A perfect compromise between completely padded pants and three-layer pants with no extra warmth. Warmth and modular features for your freeride outings throughout the season.
Additional features
Wide elastic waistband to guarantee: perfect airtightness against drafts and snow, perfect support, and constant, regular warmth in the lower back.
Ventilation
To stay dry, it is important to wear waterproof pants. But you shouldn’t end up wet with perspiration. Vents are key for wicking away perspiration. This is why we equipped these pants with 2 ventilation zippers, two large zippers along the thighs (28 cm/11 in in size L).
Water repellency
A fabric’s water repellency is its ability to make water run off its surface without absorbing it. This prevents the fabric from becoming waterlogged, so that it remains light, breathable and warm. Water repellency is achieved by treating the fabric’s exterior. This treatment needs to be reapplied during the life of the garment (recommended every three washes). All Wedze jackets are treated for water repellency.
Component waterproofing
The resistance of a fabric is measured by the height of the water column (measured in mm) that the fabric can withstand (test based on the ISO 811 standard). The higher the pressure, the more waterproof the fabric. A component with a waterproof rating of 10,000 mm is therefore resistant to the pressure exerted by 15,000 mm of water.
Breathability
To determine a fabric’s breathability, we test its evaporative resistance or RET (based on the ISO 11092 standard). A lower evaporative resistance means more perspiration can escape, increasing the fabric’s breathability. For example: RET < 9 = extremely breathable fabric 9 < RET < 12 = very breathable fabric 12 < RET < 20 = breathable fabric RET > 20 = little or no breathability
What is a membrane or coating?
The coating is like a paint applied to the inside of the fabric, making it waterproof yet breathable. It is often less expensive than a membrane and requires a liner to protect it. A membrane, which is a very thin plastic film (polyurethane), makes the material waterproof yet breathable. Flexible, lighter, and more durable than a coating, it is often also more breathable.
How do we make a garment waterproof?
The fabric, seam sealing, and composition determine a fabric’s waterproofness. The garment undergoes shower tests.
Waterproofness/shower test
This garment was shower-tested under 100 L of water/m²/hour for 3 hours. This test reproduces the conditions of a heavy mountain storm.
How do you make a garment breathable?
In addition to breathable materials, other technical features (zippers, vents, mesh) improve the overall ventilation of our ski jackets and pants. These ventilation features regulate the temperature inside the garment and help to eliminate perspiration.

This product is repairable.We commit to repairing your product free of charge for the duration of the warranty. If you need the seams, zippers, or another element repaired, contact your store. If we can’t repair your product due to a production defect, you can exchange it or get a refund.
What is the Recco® system?
All our Freeride and All-Mountain jackets and pants are equipped with the Recco® system. With Recco® technology, you can be located in the event of an avalanche. Anyone buried in the snow who is equipped with Recco® reflectors can be located quickly and accurately by emergency services with the Recco® tracker. Recco® reflectors are not a substitute for an avalanche beacon. Recco® technology works as an additional safeguard, increasing the chances of being found in time.
Restoring the water-repellent properties
Follow care instructions when washing to preserve all the technical features. After three washes, restore the water-repellent properties with a waterproof spray or wash-in product.
