An avalanche transceiver, a probe, and shovel are essential tools that you must be familiar with when out on the slopes, freeriding, and backcountry skiing.

Shovel and probe pocket

Carry a snowboard on the front, one pair of adult skis with one on each side, or two pairs of junior skis with one pair on each side.
Carrying them like this keeps your hands free so that you can walk comfortably to the lifts or freeride runs.

We use high-density 600D polyester canvas for the exterior of the case. The component has been subjected to a battery of tests to verify its durability. Compatibility

The adjustment dial is key for keeping your helmet secure. The dial, easily accessible even with gloves on, allows for easy and precise adjustments at any time. It also provides comfort and maximum safety. Turn the dial to the right to tighten and to the left to loosen.

This type of structure, known as In-Mould, features a polycarbonate outer shell that is moulded directly to the EPS liner. The inner EPS liner absorbs shocks in the event of a collision. The whole thing is extremely lightweight. In-Mould structure is more sensitive to everyday impact. We recommend changing your ski helmet at least every five years or if it has sustained a significant impact.

In-Mould construction

Standard EN 1077:2007 is a European standard that applies to helmets used for cranial protection during downhill skiing and snowboarding.      This standard tests the ability of helmets to absorb shocks and resist penetration. There are two categories:
- Class A: Protects the top and back of the head as well as the ears and the side of the head.- Class B: Protects the top and back of the head but does not cover the ears.

EN 1077 standard

* Measure the circumference of your head in centimetres (around the middle of the forehead and just above the ears). 
* Then choose the size that corresponds to this measurement. 
Example: If the circumference of your head is 56 cm (22”), you should try a helmet in size 55–59 cm (21 ½–23 ¼”).

What size?

Take plenty of time to try it on properly. You shouldn’t feel any discomfort. If you do, try another model. Always try your helmet with your mask, because not all helmets go with all masks. A helmet is compatible with a ski mask when there is no air space between the top of the goggles and the helmet.

Fitting

When skiing, your helmet should be properly fitted and adjusted:
* It is essential to choose the right size.
* The head circumference must be adjusted using the adjustment dial.
* The chinstrap must be properly adjusted.
It’s a bit like a car seat belt: If it’s too loose, it will not perform its function and you will be less protected.

Helmet adjustment

Avoid wearing a thick hat under your helmet that moves the helmet away from your head because you won’t be as well protected. 
Instead, wear a very thin beanie or balaclava that does not affect your safety. A helmet has good insulating properties. There is often no point in adding anything else. Avoid attaching a camera to your helmet because it can affect safety. The standard does not take into account any elements added to the helmet.

Technical Lens

Visor helmets are comfortable and practical. However, we recommend them more for moderate-speed skiers. They are less windproof than a mask, which moulds to your nose and face. If you ski very fast, air can get inside and cause discomfort.
For the best air seal, wear the visor as low as you can. Otherwise, this helmet is not for you.

Special visor helmet feature

Take your time to get a proper fit. You should feel no discomfort from the helmet or around the visor. If you do, try a different model.
For people who wear glasses, try on the helmet with the pair you plan to wear with it and open/close the visor to check for any obstructions.
Fogging on your glasses is not caused by the helmet. Use an anti-fog treatment.

Think of it like the seat belt in a car: too loose and it won’t do its job to protect you.

For optimal protection, avoid wearing a thick hat under your helmet that could cause it to shift on your head. 
Wear a thin beanie or balaclava instead. Helmets have good insulating properties. They may be all you need. Attaching a camera to your helmet is not a great idea. It could affect your safety. The standard does not account for anything added to the helmet.

Skiing is a pleasure that everyone should be able to enjoy, including people who wear prescription glasses. Wedze designed this helmet with a visor to make it more practical than over-the-glasses (OTG) ski masks. Issues with the size of some glasses make them incompatible with certain helmets. All our sock sizes cover 3 or 4 shoe sizes. The elastane helps the socks mould to your feet and stay in place. Foot length, size, and volume vary from person to person: That’s why it’s important to try your socks on before going skiing.
We always recommend choosing slightly small over slightly large socks.

Choosing the right sock size

Blisters are generally caused by socks, shoes, or foreign objects chafing feet. Humidity also plays a role, as it makes skin more vulnerable.
Chafing is reduced when the sock stays in place.
