The 10-year test
To certify it ready for 10 years of use, this backpack is attached to a hiking dummy which simulates thousands of steps. This enables us to check the effects of movement and physical abrasion - and to certify every backpack with a 10-year guarantee.
Strength testing
Additional lab tests ensure that the backpack can withstand repeated washing, UV exposure and tearing. We check all of the components, including fabric, straps, buckles and zips.
Field testing
After this bag completed our lab tests, we asked a panel of around 100 experienced walkers to test it on their hikes in the Haute-Savoie region. They gave it the final seal of approval.
