Our commitment to consume less water
We improved this product with an eco-design approach. Textile dyeing requires a lot of water and produces wastewater from the dye baths. We dye every other thread to reduce water consumption and water pollution. To reduce our impact on the environment, we use a bulk dyeing method that incorporates colour pigment during manufacture of the threads (references: 8649342, 8649339, 8649346).
How is volume measured?
We use a standardized method to measure the volume of each backpack: the main compartment and all the pockets are filled with small balls. The balls are then emptied into a graduated container to determine the equivalent volume in litres. The capacity of the main volume of this bag is 23 L (5 gal). We also measured the volume with the 2 external side pockets; the total capacity increases to 25 L (5.6 gal).
Your comfort above all
We put comfort at the centre of our product design so you can make the most of your hikes. The back, shoulder straps, and handle are comfortable because of their thickness and construction—they’re composed of different types of foam padding covered with a 3D mesh to improve ventilation and drying. The cushioned chest strap is fully adjustable.- Back: 5 pads composed of 2 foam pads (PE/PU), 15 mm (0.6”) thick - Shoulder straps composed of 2 foam pads (EVA/PU), 8–13 mm (0.3–0.5”) thick.

Waterproofing
The backpack’s components are water-repellent so that you can temporarily continue hiking in light rain. Note: this backpack is not watertight or waterproof, and it does not have a rain cover. To continue hiking while protecting your belongings from the rain, we recommend the following : Hiking Backpack Rain Cover 20–35 L, which can be viewed on our website, reference number 8303438.

Tested for optimum durability and strength
Laboratory tests are conducted on the components and assemblies to ensure the backpack withstands use over time. For example, tests are performed on the fabric’s resistance to abrasion and tearing, colourfastness when subject to UV light and washing, and waterproofing. We use these tests to guarantee the bags for 10 years from the date of purchase on the receipt.
How to adjust your backpack
1 - Loosen all straps, shoulder straps, and chest belt. 2 - Put on the bag. 3 - Buckle the chest belt and adjust its height and width. 4 - Tighten the shoulder straps (from top to bottom). 5 - Adjust to fit. You’re all set! It’s now adjusted!
How to pack your backpack
- Place heavy equipment, such as computers and picnic items, in the back and in the designated areas. Pack your clothes around these items. Place small, frequently used items in the pockets (sunscreen, map, glasses, etc.). - Water bottle(s) can be placed in the outer side pockets provided for this purpose.
