Design details

Adjustment dial
The adjustment dial is key to keeping your child’s helmet secure. The dial allows for easy and precise adjustments, even with gloves on. It also provides maximum comfort and safety. Turn dial to the right to tighten and to the left to loosen.
ABS structure
Standard EN 1077:2007 is a European standard that applies to helmets used for cranial protection during downhill skiing and snowboarding. This standard tests the ability to absorb shocks and resistance to penetration. There are 2 categories: - Class A: protects the top and back of the head, as well as the ears and the side of the head. - Class B: Protects the top and back of the head but does not cover the ears.
Choosing the right size helmet and having your child try it on correctly
Measure their head circumference (from the middle of the forehead and on top of the ears) and choose the right size.When trying it on, there should be no points of discomfort. If it is visor-less, have the helmet tried on with goggles: there should be no gap between the two.
Adjust the helmet once you have the right size.
For their safety, the ski helmet must be properly fitted: - The head circumference must be adjusted using the tightening dial. - The chinstrap must be properly adjusted. You should be able to pass two fingers between the strap and the skin. If not properly fitted, the helmet offers less protection.
Prescription glasses compatibility
Skiing should be accessible to all, including skiers who wear prescription glasses. Wedze designed a helmet with visor, more practical to use than “over the glasses” (OTG) ski goggles. Some helmet models remain incompatible due to glasses size issues.Head to a Decathlon store to try helmets for your kid with their glasses on.
Visor helmet features
Visor helmets are extremely comfortable and practical. However, we recommend them for young skiers who ski at moderate speed. They're less windproof than ski goggles, which perfectly mould to the nose and face. If your child skis very fast, air can get in and it can be unpleasant.

Removable comfort foam machine-washable at 30°C.
Changing visor
The original S2 visor is available for purchase from our website. There is no S1 (bad-weather) visor for this helmet.
A helmet keeps you warm: you don’t need to wear a hat underneath—in fact, it’s best not to.
Don’t add a hat: this creates a gap between the head and the helmet, thus reducing protection. If necessary, choose a very thin balaclava designed for this purpose. Avoid adding a camera, which compromises the wearer’s safety. The standard does not take into account any elements added to the helmet.
