Design details

The RCR range
The RCR range is built for cyclists who refuse to compromise. With this bike, performance is the top priority. Every tube’s cross-section is engineered to deliver maximum efficiency at key wind angles (–15° to +15°). This bike falls into the aero-light category: an optimum balance of lightness, rigidity and aerodynamics combine to make this an exceptional bike. If you want a bike designed to win races, the RCR is it.
RCR Pro Frameset
A carbon frame is defined by its geometry, its tube shapes, and its layup. The layup is how the carbon fibres are assembled. Not all fibres have the same properties. On the RCR Pro, we’ve chosen exceptional super-high modulus fibres that make the bike stiffer in the areas that are put under the most stress and that slightly reduce the weight. The RCR Pro frame is used by riders in the Decathlon Ag2r world tour team.
Swiss Side Hadron³ 550 Classic wheels
Drawing on its F1 experience, Swiss Side combines Swiss engineering prowess with the best components to offer the most high-performance wheels on the market. They guarantee minimal drag, with unrivalled stability even in windy conditions. Swiss Side Hadron³ 550 Classic Hyperglide Top-of-the-range stainless steel bearings Swiss Side 370 hubs Depth: 50 mm. Internal width: 20 mm Weight: 1,640 g
A closer look at the frame
The RCR Pro’s frame weighs 790 g painted, in size M. The RCR’s fork weighs 380 g painted, in size M. The frame can take tires up to 32 mm wide. Weight may vary slightly depending on colour (+/- 50 g). Please note: Carbon frames must not be secured on the top tube, seat tube and down tube using a clamp (workshop stand, bike carrier). Carbon is a very rigid material but it does not withstand compression.
Tubeless or inner tube?
We recommend converting your tires to tubeless using the tubeless valve that comes with the bike. Tubeless tires provide more comfort, offer improved efficiency, and are self-sealing for small punctures. Of course, you should always carry an inner tube in your repair kit, just in case your tire gets a slightly bigger puncture.
Several finishes available
Depending on the groupset and wheel configuration, you can choose from different finishes to create a bespoke model. The RCR Pro frames come in a raw carbon finish with a matte varnish. This means that the carbon fibres are visible since they are not covered by paint. Every frame is unique as the 450 pieces are individually laminated by hand in the mould, which saves up to 100 g.
Shimano Ultegra DI2 Groupset + Inpeak power sensor
This RCR is equipped with a full Shimano Ultegra DI2 12S groupset. A power meter is a must for cyclists who want to plan their training and monitor progress. Inpeak power sensors are accurate and reliable, making them the ideal choice. In this case, the Inpeak Powercrank-E single (left crank) Total drive train weight: 2,717 g

Drive train lifespan
When buying a bike, it’s important to consider the cost of drivetrain maintenance. The figures below are estimates and may vary depending on how well you maintain your drivetrain. Average lifespan of a well-maintained chain: 5,000 km Average lifespan of a cassette: 10,000–12,000 km A poorly maintained chain can skip, potentially causing damage to your frame.
Drivetrain maintenance
Regular maintenance is key, especially if you ride in wet or dirty conditions. A well-maintained drivetrain lasts longer. Check your chain regularly using the chain wear indicator available on our website.
Cockpit
We’ve specially designed the RCR Pro’s cockpit with our partner Deda to improve the aerodynamics by reducing the front surface while ensuring optimal ergonomics at the 3 contact points (levers, top of handlebar, and drops). The housing is internally routed completely for a streamlined effect. The Deda X VR combo depends on the frame size: (stem length x handlebar width) XS: 90 x 380 S: 90 x 400 M: 100 x 400 L: 110 x 400 XL: 120 x 400

Disc brakes
Shimano Ultegra RTCL 800 disc brake with 160 mm discs in front and 140 mm in back. The Ultrega disc brakes are hydraulic. This gives you more progressive, more powerful braking. You will need to bed these brakes in. Simply brake gradually 20 times at a low speed (20 km/h), then repeat at 30 km/h. Make sure to bed in both brakes. Bedding in creates more friction between the disc and brake pad.
Continental GP 5000 S TLR Tire
Ride faster, more comfortably and with even greater puncture resistance with the Continental GP5000 S tubeless ready tires 700x28C: pressure between 58 and 94 psi Weight: 280 g
Hydraulic brake maintenance
Hydraulic brakes operate within a closed system, with a hose maintaining the seal between the brake lever and caliper. Over time, a slight loss of pressure is normal, which can reduce braking efficiency. When your brake guard is too soft, or you stop short against your handlebar, you need to bleed your system. This process requires specialized tools and expertise.
Warning and adjustment
Please note: never squeeze the brakes without a wheel being attached, as you could get the brake pads stuck together. If the rotor is touching the pads, here’s how to realign the caliper: - Brake hard and tighten the caliper at the same time - If the problem persists, go to the nearest store.
Sizing
Please refer to the bike frame geometry table. If you’re between sizes, choose a smaller frame if you want a bike that’s more responsive and agile. However, if you want to be comfortable when riding long distances, the bigger size is your best bet.
Pedals
Sold without pedals.
