RCR or RCR-F: How to choose
The RCR-F Pro is engineered to excel on rolling to hilly terrain.It performs particularly well on routes with less than 1,500 m of elevation gain per 100 km, at average speeds of 35 to 50 km/h. The RCR Pro is designed to go even further, delivering exceptional performance on hilly to mountainous terrain—ideal for rides exceeding 1,500 m of elevation gain per 100 km, at average speeds of 25 to 35 km/h.
The story behind the design:Aerodynamics
The RCR-F frame is the result of meticulous aerodynamic development in collaboration with Swiss Side, our aerodynamic optimization partner. Every detail was designed with one purpose in mind: to create the fastest road bike in the peloton. Following extensive CFD simulations and wind-tunnel testing, the final design was validated in the field by our professional athletes. The result: the RCR-F is 13 watts faster than the RCR at 45 km/h.
The story behind the design: Stiffness and performance
The second key focus in the RCR-F’s development was stiffness, to meet the needs of the most demanding racers and maximize performance. To achieve this, a super high-modulus carbon layup with 517 plies was used, made exclusively from high-end carbon fibres. The RCR-F is 7% stiffer at the front than the RCR, making it especially effective during high-intensity efforts such as attacks or sprints.
RCR-F Pro frame/fork
The RCR-F Pro frame and fork are designed for fast riding on rolling to hilly terrain. The super high-modulus carbon layup, made from exceptional fibres, delivers maximum performance combined with excellent stability at high speed. Co-developed with the World Tour Decathlon AG2R La Mondiale team, this frame has been tested and proven on the longest routes of the UCI circuit. RCR-F Pro cockpit
Deda x VR RCR-F combo optimizes aerodynamics, stiffness, and ergonomics. Ergo drops inserts provide better grip on the handlebar drops. Included GPS cyclometer holder is compatible with Garmin, Wahoo, and Bryton devices. Option to install VR x Deda triathlon extenders. SRAM Force disc brakes
SRAM Force E1 hydraulic disc brakes with 160 mm rotors at the front and 140 mm rotors at the rear, delivering progressive and more powerful braking compared with cable-actuated hydraulic brakes. You will need to bed the brakes in. Simply brake gradually 20 times at a low speed (20 km/h), then repeat at 30 km/h. Be sure to bed in both brakes. Bedding in creates more friction between the disc and brake pad.

Continental GP 5000S TR tires
GP 5000S TR 28 in tires. We recommend switching your tires to tubeless using the tubeless valve and sealant included with the bike. Tubeless tires provide more comfort, offer improved efficiency, and are self-sealing for small punctures. However, always carry an inner tube in your repair kit for bigger punctures.

We recommend maintaining your drivetrain regularly, particularly if you ride in wet or muddy conditions. Regular maintenance helps your drivetrain last longer. Drivetrain lifespan
When buying a bike, it’s important to consider the cost of drivetrain maintenance. The figures below are estimates and may vary depending on how well you maintain your drivetrain. The average lifespan of a well-maintained chain is 5,000 km. The average lifespan of a cassette is 10,000–12,000 km. A poorly maintained chain can slip off the sprockets, causing damage to your frame.
Hydraulic brake maintenance
Hydraulic brakes operate within a closed system, with a hose maintaining the seal between the brake lever and caliper. Over time, a slight loss of pressure is normal, which can reduce braking efficiency. If the lever feels soft or pulls all the way to the handlebar when braking, it’s time to bleed your system. This process requires specialized tools and expertise.
Warning and adjustment
Important: Never squeeze the brake levers without a wheel being attached, as this could cause the brake pads to stick together. If the rotor rubs against the pads, follow these steps to realign the wheel and caliper: - Loosen the brake caliper bolts. - While squeezing the brake lever firmly, tighten the caliper bolts. - If the issue persists, visit your nearest store for assistance.
