Standard EN 1077:2007 class B is a European standard that applies to helmets used for cranial protection during downhill skiing or snowboarding. This standard tests the ability to absorb shocks and resist penetration.
A practical adjustment wheel to adapt the helmet to fit you
The turnring is essential to your helmet's support. This system can be easily and precisely adjusted at any time using the easily accessible dial that you can even use with your skiing gloves. It also provides comfort and maximum safety. Turn the dial to the right to tighten and to the left to loosen.
Passive ventilation system
The venting system improves your helmet's thermal regulation and reduces fog in your goggles. This type of design lets heat and humidity escape from the entire helmet and goggle area.
Hard shell construction
The hard shell construction makes the helmet more durable and robust. The helmet has an injection-moulded, ABS outer shell to withstand powerful impacts. High resistance to bumps and knocks. The internal Epos skullcap absorbs impact during collisions. Change your snowboard helmet at least every 5 years, even if it hasn’t sustained any impacts.
Safety
Avoid putting a thick hat under your child's helmet as this will move the helmet away from their head and they won't be as well protected. To keep them safe, opt for a very thin beanie or balaclava. Helmets have good insulating properties. Often, nothing else is needed. Do not attach a camera to the helmet, as this can affect safety. The standard does not take into account any elements added to the helmet.
