Repairing habu® Fit System knobs and cable
Supplied by BOA Technology, the wheels and the laces of the adjustment system have undergone thousands of hours of rigorous tests in the lab and in the field. They are guaranteed to prolong the life of the boot. After-sales service is provided on the habufit.com/support website.
habu® Fit System (produced by BOA® technology)
The habu® Fit System combines three important technical elements to transform the snowboard experience: 1) the innovative wheel ensures micro-adjustment and precision 2) the habu® cable is light but very durable, with 75 stainless steel strands 3) low-friction habu® guides ensure uniform pressure distribution while minimizing wear and increasing lifespan
Boot flex/stiffness
These boots have a medium stiffness (or flex) rating (6/10). They are intended for riders who hold a curve at high speed (requiring a stiff boot) while allowing them to remain responsive through small turns or surprise bumps that require quick leg flex-extension.
Increase the stiffness of your boots by adding Flex Up.
The Flex Up (8600870) helps you to make your boot more rigid on 2 out of 10 flexion points (with Flex Up, this new boot has a rigidity of approximately 5/10). This is a plastic accessory which is inserted into the tongue of Decathlon snowboard boots produced since the 2022/23 season. A pocket has been included in the design to keep it in the ideal position. The Flex Up makes sense over time: If your boot turns more limp, give it a second life.
Thermoforming the liner by yourself: Warning
Thermoforming is only possible in built-in ovens measuring 56 cm x 60 cm x 56 cm (22 in x 23.6 in x 22 in) equipped with a fan mode. Do not try with a gas stove or small table top oven with visible heating elements.
How to thermoform the liner yourself: Instructions for use
1. Heat your oven to 80 °C in convection mode. 2. Remove the inner soles from the liners. Place the liners on a baking sheet covered with a piece of parchment paper. 3. Wait 15 minutes. 4. Put them on with a pair of ski or snowboard socks and tighten them (not too much). 5. Put on the boots on and tighten fully. 5. Wait for 15 minutes. This operation can be repeated if necessary. A video is available in this product sheet.
How to choose the right size
1. Put the boot on. 2. Tighten the boot. 3. Stand up. 4. Your big toes should touch the tip of the boot without excessive pressure. 5. Bend your legs forward; your big toes should move back, no longer touching the front of the boot.
