Design details

Do these ski pants feature the RECCO® system?
Yes, RECCO® technology is built in! Used in most ski resorts, it increases the chances of being located in the event of an avalanche. The reflector, which is built into the pants, can be located by emergency rescue services via a detector. This shouldn't replace responsible behaviour or the use of an avalanche transceiver.
What features do these ski pants have?
- 2 hand pockets - Snow gaiters - Adjustable rip-tab waistband - 2 ventilation zippers - Loops for braces - Cut-resistant protection at bottom of legs
How waterproof are these ski pants?
The SKP Pants 900 pants are highly waterproof (20,000 mm Schmerbers) and have been tested in real-world conditions. Waterproof fabric and design prevent water from entering, the taped seams are watertight, and the zippers are waterproof. This jacket has been tested both in a special shower simulating ski-resort conditions and outdoors over several days in different weather conditions.
Are these pants water-repellent?
The SKP Pants 900 pants are water-repellent, just like all Quechua ski and snowboard pants. A fabric’s water-repellent property is its ability to let water bead off its surface without soaking in. By not soaking up water, the fabric remains lightweight, breathable, and warm. The water-repellent finish on the fabric exterior must be reapplied regularly (every 3 washes).
Are these ski pants warm?
With 60 g/m² fill, these pants will keep you warm in temperatures as low as -3°C during moderate exercise. The leg gaiters at the bottom of the legs prevent air–and therefore the cold–from entering.
Are these ski and snowboard pants breathable?
The breathability of pants is measured using RET, or evaporative resistance of the fabric (ISO 11092 Standard): the lower the RET number, the more easily water vapour escapes. The RET for these pants is 12*. They also feature ventilation zippers so you can adjust the airflow to suit your activity level. * RET < 9 = extremely breathable 9 < RET < 12 = highly breathable 12 < RET < 20 = breathable RET > 20 = little or no breathability.
What are the benefits of the lined material used?
This jacket uses a very thin polyurethane film to make the fabric waterproof but still breathable. More flexible, lightweight, durable, and often more breathable than coating, which is less expensive but requires a protective lining, similar to paint applied to the inside of the fabric.
Are these ski pants repairable?
Beyond the 2-year warranty period, your product will still be repairable (seams, zippers, etc.). During the warranty period, we will carry out repairs free of charge. Solutions can be offered at your nearest store.
How much do these ski pants weigh?
0.7 kg in size M.
What to wear under ski pants
You don’t need to wear anything under these padded pants. However, in very cold weather, you can wear a breathable thermal base layer (known as a layer 1).
Water repellency restoration
The water repellency of your pants should be reactivated regularly (every 3 washes): over time, even though they remain waterproof thanks to the component, they seem to start absorbing water. To restore repellency, use a reactivating spray or treatment reapplication product.
