It took me a few months to decide to drop the money on this bag, and I have never regretted waiting to make a purchase so much. This bag is the most versatile backpack I have ever seen. There are pockets galore and yet, the bag is lightweight (lighter than some "ultralight" hi
king bags) and seems to be high quality. I use it to take my books to school and also to carry my gear out to research locations. The material is quite hydrophobic, so a raincover is not necessary except in situations of sustained downpour. The size means that I never have to compromise on what I bring. The bottom is a tough rubberized material, so I don't worry about putting it down on abrasive or wet surfaces. This bag really does it all!
