The bar has it's own weight which is good but it does not come with stoppers and is not ideal for most of the exercises

Bought this to use in an area of limited space.
Was weary of previous review that highlighted the limited space between the flanges of 70cm.
The design persists but I use a work around by buying an extra set of collars. Setting these at 90cm apart (as new flanges) gives a much broader area to grip. Happily because the bar is smooth and not a twist lock, the only irregularity is the flanges which have a very low profile and are easy to grip upon.
Now I have a very useful well made bar with only an extra £3.50 outlay.

This is an excellent bar for strength training. I only wish I had more weight plates. Make sure you buy your plates at the same time as normal weights don't fit.

good to have this WTB... I have a 10 kg dumbel set from Decothlon which has only 18" rod. I use this 1.2m bar with the weight discs of 10 kgs.. perfect fit and utility.
