TECHNICAL INFORMATIONS

Pitching/folding

Classic dome structure: Fit the poles on the inner tent, then attach the flysheet over it. Reverse the process to unpitch. In case of wind, attach the guy ropes that are provided in the tent bag.

Mattress compatibility

We recommend using the tent with the self-inflating or trekking mattress measuring a maximum of 65 cm.

We do not recommend the use of inflating mattresses over 6 cm in height due to the reduction in living space and resistance to condensation.

Ventilation

1 high air vent at the back. Correctly position the lateral tent pegs to maintain a space between the flysheet and the ground all around the tent. The air circulation between the bedroom and the flysheet will limit the natural phenomenon of condensation.

Waterproofing

All Quechua tents are tested in the lab (whole tent under 200 L/sqm/h for 4 hours) and in the field.
Flysheet coated polyester PU 2000 mm, ground sheet polyethylene 120 g/m², all seams sealed with heat-sealed strips. The presence of a breathing polyester compartment underneath the flysheet avoids contact with condensation water drops which can form on the inside of the flysheet.

Wind resistance

We test all our tents in a wind tunnel on a turntable to expose each side of the tent to the wind. A properly pitched tent with all guy lines fitted around the tent must remain habitable in wind speeds up to 40 km/h near the ground (Force 5).

Perfect beginner's tent
Vanessa (Canada) Used for More than 2 years
I've been camping in this tent about 10 times now over 2 years and it's perfect for someone who doesn't want to spend much on a tent. I love it
Great tent!

Took this to Newfoundland for 2 weeks of camping. Kept me dry in the rain.
Easy setup.
Enough room or 1 person plus gear.
Would be nice if it had two doors but is a great little tent.
For $50 CND it's a great buy.
Perfect

Absolute backpacking bargain
Will (United States)
I bought this tent at short notice to accompany my son on a backpacking trip. I didn’t want to spend much as it’s not something I do usually. The whole group was blown away by just how good this tent was. It’s light(ish), quick to erect and pack down, actually fits in the stuff sack, is extremely weather proof (we had two big thunderstorms on the trek and not a single leak on either), is well made in general and includes a drying line. The only negative I could find is that ventilation was a little limited for humid nights, but leaving off the fly sheet helped.

Side by side it’s difficult to justify the added price of many specific backpacking tents.
Sturdy tent
J (United States)
Basic sturdy tent. Fits 2 people 5’10” inside with 2 10L necessity backpacks and 2 ultralight sleeping sacks for very snug fit. If camping with a larger load, a separate waterproof bivvy tent is recommended to store and keep other camping goods dry and better secured. The MH-100 Tent is waterproof and handles 12-15 Mph wind well. The outer shell help regulates daytime spring temperature with outside temperature mid 60-70F. Condensation was not a issue with 2 person occupancy with night time lows in upper 40F. Outer tarp helps regulate nighttime temperature and condensation inside of tent. Overall, enjoyed the 3 night astronomy campout with the MH-100 tent Great value for such a well made tent.
best tent for the money ever made
Ronald (United States)
it is not only waterproof but it handled a 2 inch snow load.
It is a little on the short side.. If you are over 5'8" tall , you might have a problem.
It can handle a 45 mph wind if guyed out properly.
Does not really have a vestibule. Only enough room for shoes.
Sleeps 2, but no room for gear.
Very roomy for 1 person, including gear.
overall, This will be my Motorcycle Camping Tent.!!
Best tent for the money!
Great Deal, some good, some bad
Ronald (United States)
The bad: Tent is not very long. I am only 5'8" tall and I use every inch.
Does not really have a vestibule. Only room for 1 pair of shoes.
If used in rain. Must wipe over door before opening or water will
drip in front. Tight for 2 people and no room for gear.
The Good: Totally Waterproof. Used it for days in heavy downpours.
If tied out correctly, it can handle a pretty stiff wind, I have had
it up in a 40mph wind and it did fine.
No condensation problems. Used tent in 23 degrees and had
no condensation on inside of tent.
If you replace the stakes, You can drop the weight to under
4lbs 8oz .
This tent is tough. If you take care of it, it will last for years.
THE PRICE !!!
I am going to use this tent as my Motorcycle camping tent.
