Freestyle vs. classic scooters
Comparing a freestyle scooter to a classic scooter is similar to comparing a BMX bike to a city bike.
Freestyle scooters have wider handlebars and smaller wheels. They’re also lighter and easier to manoeuvre. Freestyle scooters are designed for tricks: the handlebars are sturdier and
can do a full turn, for instance.
Choosing the right size
To choose the right size, stand on the scooter with your arms outstretched and your back straight. The handlebar should be at hip level.
Safety precautions
Always wear protective equipment when scootering (helmet, knee pads, elbow pads).
Most serious accidents occur during the first few months; take the time to learn the basics so that you can control your speed and brake in emergency situations, especially on wet ground.
Why are there different wheel sizes?
100, 110 or 120 mm? Larger wheels will make you feel more stable, which will allow you to go faster. The only downside is their weight.
Heavier wheels are harder to control while doing tricks. Choose your wheel size in accordance with your goals.
What is a flex brake system?
A flex brake is designed to return to its original shape after each brake. Unlike a spring brake, it limits vibrations and is lighter. It also prolongs the lifespan of your wheels by reducing wear.
Handles
The ribbed TPE handles provide good grip.
Scooter maintenance
We recommend looking over your scooter before and after each ride to check for abnormal play, cracks, and sharp edges.Wheels and bearings are subject to wear. Be sure to check and replace them as needed.
