This is a 4 piece stick. It was brilliant when I found out that locking the hidden in the handle (4th) section made it perfect. Simple click lock to change from uphill to downhill. Great value for money. Confidentally looking forward to my next hike.

The 3 pieces are held together by a small silcon rubber triangle. Once the rubber wears off.... the pole just slides apart while in use. I had to duct tape the pole together to finish my hike. Good for been compact, but thats it. Not worth the higher price

I lost my trekking pole w/c i got at much cheaper price so decided to get this one because of it’s portability but the poles kept dislodging during hike bcos it doesn’t come with a lock to hold them together and was really not very useful..i was very disappointed with this pur
