If you need a jacket to get through a wet spell, this is fairly ideal. It has zippered, vented pockets that form natural pockets on the interior, vented armpits and is quite comfortable for what it is. It's made out of a stiff shell material that doesn't stretch. What is a
little bit strange is the fit as the shoulders feel narrow while every other dimension fits very well. Try it on in store before buying. I will also say the armpit vents, while a nice addition for a runner might present a problem if you happen to be facing into the rain. This isn't a warm jacket and if you aim to layer you will need to buy it oversized.
