- Novices: Maximum 0.5 m waves. No fins—push off the ground with your feet and ride the wave to shore.
- Beginner: Gentle turns in waves up to 1 m, propulsion with fins. A must for learning to bodyboard.
- Intermediate: Waves up to 1.50 m, more speed, and the beginning of tricks (360 °, El Rollo, etc.).
- Advanced: All types of waves, command of tricks, even aerial: ARS, 360°, tube...

This leash fastens to your bodyboard with its plug.
To use it, place the strap above the elbow on your preferred side. Once in place, tighten the rip-tab strap to secure.
Note: The cuff on this leash is too wide to attach at the wrist.

Attaching the leash

This leash is designed to withstand waves of less than 1.5 m.   Make sure your leash is in good condition before you go boarding. Leave to dry; store in a cool, dry place. Keep out of the sun.

Suitable for intermediate boarders in all conditions. 

A spiral leash is compact and won’t get in your way during sessions in the water. If this leash is stretched out for too long, its coil will relax and it will loose its spring. You can prevent this by fastening the cuff around the plug end when not in use.   See the illustration provided.

To install the plug on a bodyboard, you’ll first need to find the right location: it should lie 10–15 cm from the nose and well clear of the stringers. If there are 2 stringers, the plug must be centered. If the board has a single stringer, the plug must be offset at least 5 cm from the centre of the board, on the right if you wear your leash on the right, or vice-versa.

Positioning the leash plug

Pierce a hole from below in the desired location using a large Phillips screwdriver. Be careful not to you pierce from the top, as this will damage the slick.
Insert both parts of the plug one after the other, with the screw at the bottom.
Screw it in using a $2 coin until the slick warps slightly.

Installing the leash plug

It’s important to follow certain rules of thumb when you go bodyboarding to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience. 1- Observe your locationand the conditions before hitting the water. Note the current, rocks, tides, wave size, crowds, etc. 
2- Don’t be overconfident. Look for an easier spot if your skills aren’t on par with the conditions.
3- Use proper equipment that’s in good condition (leash, fins, board, wetsuit).

4- Follow the wave priority rules: Right-of-way goes to the person closest to the peak.
5- Follow the direction of the wave when moving towards the peak to avoid cutting off other boarders.
6- Use fins if the water is above your hips.
7- If you’re not using fins, stay in a supervised area.
8- Bodyboard in a group.
