TECHNICAL INFORMATIONS

Thermoformable liner

Polyethylene liner, 3 mm-thick, thermoformable material. Heat the liner to compress the foam for more room and increased comfort. Shock Absorber Area system in the heel cushions the shocks on moguls or jumps.

How to thermoform your liners at home

1- Preheat the oven to 80°C on fan mode.
2- Remove the liners from the shells.
3- Remove the insoles from your liners.
4- Put the liner in the oven for just 5 minutes.
5- Remove the liners from the oven.
6- Put the insoles back inside the liners.
7- Put the liners back inside the boots.
8- Put on your boots and lock each buckle to the mid-way setting.
9- Wait for 15 minutes at room temperature before taking them off.
There you go, you are ready to ski

Buckle adjustment

3 micrometric aluminium buckles and one 3-position buckle at the shin fit every calf size. Wide strap offers powerful and easy tightening of the top of the shell. Walk position on the shin buckle (Walk in red) increases collar movement.

Sizing

Fine foot (last 100 mm), Polyethylene thermoformable liner: 3 mm thermoformable foam all the way around the foot. Lightweight and comfortable liner. Preformed foam at the ankle bone. Flexible material makes the liner adapt more easily to climbing and walking. If your liners are uncomfortable after a few days of use, you can thermoform them.

What is flex?

Brands assign a flex rating to every boot to indicate its rigidity, This figure determines the rigidity of the whole boot: the higher rating, the stiffer the shell. A 70 flex rating is considered the best for average to intermediate skiers. A flex rating of 70–90 is for intermediate skiers. Boots with a flex rating higher than 100 are for advanced skiers. Heavier skiers, however, can go up a level.

How to try on ski boots

Once your foot is in the boot, fasten the buckles to the midpoint. Can you go further? This means the volume of the boot isn't right for you. Once the boot is closed, flex the boots three times by pressing hard on the shins (put your hands on your knees to help) and push your heel backwards inside the boot. Stand upright: your foot should touch the end of the shell. When you flex, your foot should move backwards so you can no longer feel the tip.

What should you do in case of foot pain?

1/ Choose a fine, technical ski sock prevent pressure points and improve blood circulation.
2/ Choose a sole adapted to the shape of your foot to avoid crushing it and prevent it from touching the shell. Ask a salesperson in store for advice.
3/ Thermoform your liner.

How to avoid cold feet?

Although often overlooked, drying the liner is the most effective way to avoid having cold feet. Even at -10°C, the foot sweats and the liner cannot dry in the plastic shell, even over several days. Ideally, it should be removed every day. Using boot dryers is more convenient because there is no need to remove the liner—just plug them in!
