You can carry it alone using the shoulder strap or between 2 people using the handles on the sides.

Carrying comfort

We used reinforced 600-denier* polyester fabric (PES) for the bottom of the cooler to increase the product’s durability outdoors.

*Denier refers to the weight of a yarn in grams per unit length of 9 m, so a 600-denier fabric weighs 600 grams for 9 metres.

Resistance

The cooler folds up to help you save on space. Our tips for folding it:
- open the valve, close the zipper
- put the cooler down horizontally, valve side up, and grab both sides with your hands
- push down to release the air
- put it back vertically without releasing the sides and press on the top to compress it
- close the valve
- loop the carrying strap around the cooler to keep it closed

Folding

The bottom of the cooler is removable so it can be thoroughly cleaned. Just pull on the little tab.

We use a standardized method to measure the volume of each backpack: the main compartment and all the pockets are filled with small balls. The balls are then emptied into a graduated container to determine the equivalent volume in litres.

How is volume measured?

1 - Loosen all the straps (straps, belt, and load adjuster straps).
2 - Put the backpack on.
3 - Tighten the shoulder straps.
4 - Adjust the load adjuster straps as needed.

How to adjust your backpack

Put heavy items at the bottom. Pack clothing around these items. Keep your waterproof jacket and/or fleece in an easy-to-access location. Place small, frequently used items in the pockets (sunscreen, map, glasses, etc.). Put your water bladder in the compartment provided along the back and water bottles in the outside pockets.

How to pack your backpack

These components were validated through laboratory tests: fabric, buckles, straps, foam, and zippers. For example, we test the fabric’s resistance to abrasion and tearing, colourfastness when subjected to UV light and washing, and waterproofing. We also use a dummy to reproduce several years’ hiking movement to check for resistance to wear and tear.

This compact, flexible, and durable 10-L cooler is designed to keep your food and drinks cool for half a day.

To reduce this product’s environmental impact, we dope-dye the materials. Textile dyeing requires a lot of water and produces wastewater from the dye baths. We use a bulk dyeing process that involves adding the colour pigments when the thread itself is produced to reduce the environmental impact.

Using tests conducted according to the EN 12546-2 standard, we have been able to measure that our cooler keeps food for 6 hours with ice packs (600 g).

This lunch box is lab-tested according to standard EN 12546-2, with an ambient temperature of 32°C, without ice packs, and filled to half its volume. It took 2 hours to go from 5°C (food temperature straight from the fridge) to 15°C.
Adding 300 g of ice increased this time by 3 hours in the same conditions.

To keep your food fresh for longer, place ice packs (available in the cooler section) in each compartment. You can also put the lunch box and food in the fridge before your hike.
The fuller the lunch box, the longer it stays cool.


Optimizing lunchbox performance

To reduce this impact, we use the following two dyeing processes:
1. We don’t dye the interior fabric.
2. We dye in the mass, integrating the colour pigments during the manufacture of the yarn for the outer fabric.

The zipper is made from recycled material.

There’s a system inside for keeping your bottles upright during transport.

There’s a separate zipper pocket on the outside so you can keep your belongings dry and away from food in the cooler (wallet, keys, map, camera, etc.). 
The cooler also has 2 outside mesh pockets.

This bag was designed using customer feedback and hikers’ observations.
The idea was to create a multi-purpose backpack for use during walks, hikes, and daily activities. 
This bag has to large ergonomic handles to offer you two different and comfortable carrying modes: on your back or in your hand.
