Unfortunately I have had to throw my back pack out due to irreversible mould damage. Some say this could be my fault, it could very well be but you must take my word for it that I really do look after my equipment. A have owned and used this item for only 2 summer periods, an
d off those periods to go camping and days out on only a handful of times. Nothing out of the ordinary or to any extremes. I believe condensation ingresses into the fabric of the bag to a point where it is extremely difficult to fully dry. I had noticed this after only one year and a small amount of black mould growth had started to develop, which was disappointing. A thorough clean once more was able to disperse the superficial growth, but I believe the damage had already been done for the long term. I'm my opinion, it should come with a waterproof and removable lining system, this cheap solution would extend the product life considerably. As it does for my picnic hamper. Moreover, it's a great idea but I won't buy another until it improves.
