As a winter runner I used to always be afraid of slipping on ice. While these are a little more heavy duty than most other "running" spikes I am so impressed by how easy they go over my shoes and provide traction on icy roads or slippery trails. I don't think you can find a be
tter value anywhere else. These are extremely durable and provide enough traction to run on icy surfaces with a trail shoe.

Did some winter hiking in Algonquin this past week on very icy trails. These were extremely necessary and did the job. I'm a size 10.5 boot mens and got the XL. They stayed on very nicely and added much needed traction to slippery sections. Light weight, does the job.
